P3rks 11 Posted November 8, 2013 Has anyone modified a VR6 airbox before with good results? If so how and what did you do?
Critical_Mass 10 Posted November 8, 2013 Generally people just drill the bottom of the air box, wing side. Not sure it makes much difference. Also poeple remove the snorkel on the front behind the headlight.
eugopnosaj 0 Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) The previous owner of my VR cut a hole in the bottom, removed the carbon canister and used 80mm dia pipework to run from the airbox to the ducting behind the bumper...not sure how much of a difference it makes but without the pipework in and the headlight it makes a crazy roar as it sucks air in... Edit: Does anyone have any experience with a universal CDA rather than the BMC one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Forced-Induction-Cold-Air-Feed-pipe-Kit-Cone-Ram-Filter-3inch-Duct-Flexipipe/221144824503?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D2568731051265023849%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D230686697172%26 Would there be much of a difference other than just the brand?
