maff 10 Posted November 17, 2013 Was the clear glass sunroof, (moonroof) an optional extra on a 1993 vr6? The corrado is with my friend at the mo for a sunroof fix as it is completely non working, it even wants to lift up and out the car at 60+ mph! Question, i have another sunroof so can i use this frame and transfer my moonroof to it? or should i just use working bits from the working sunroof to repair my moonroof? Also i have a sliding interior sunroof panel with slats which manually seems to slide forwards and backwards, (which is also stuck) which is nothing like my old car which had a panel which moved with the sunroof opening and closing action, is the slatted panel standard with the moonroof? Just going down now to have a closer look at it all, was going to have a go at it myself but my mate is very handy so might just let him tackle it:-) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
st4stokie 10 Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) All corrados had steel roofs as standard. The moonroof will be from a B3/4 passat or mk2 Seat Ibiza. If the roof is lifting at speed something is wrong with how its been fitted has it been adjusted to sit flush with the roof panel of the car? The sliding panel is manual to let the light in from the glass roof. Can i simply use the bits from my working sunroof and put them into my original sunroof assembly? st4stokie 10 Posted November 17, 2013 If you've got a complete working mech all you need to do is swap the panel it's only 4 pins (2 each side) if you wind your roof right back you will see them on the mech (you can see one in your pic you've posted) easy to swap but fiddly to line up and get to sit flat Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
