Non starting 16v

Hi, my 2.0 16v is cranking over but not firing. Any common problems? Would it turn over if it was the ignition switch which I know can be a problem.

Do you have spark? The hall sender on the distributor can break down

I'll about to go through all the spark, fuel etc in a minute. Sounds like it could be worth replacing anyway

I have a spare distributor with leads etc still connected if needed? removed from my 9a

Thanks as it looks like the ht leads are falling apart but I've just ordered some as want to get it back running asap

I'm getting spark, put a new distributor cap, rotor arm and leads on as they were looking old but still turns over fine but no start :-(

Found it, fuel pump fuse looked good but went to remove it and it'd fell apart inside the fuse box!
