Rado89 10 Posted December 3, 2013 Just a quick question for all your vr lovers. I've got a friend with a golf running a obd1 engine which has had it. I have a obd2 engine which I am willing to put to his cause. Would this work using his loom, altanator, starter etc? Any help would be much apresiated. VW_OwneR_85 1 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) im 98% sure he can but he will need to use his inlet manifold + throttle body on your engine, the other thing to notice does his engine have a distributer or coil pack? , if he has a dizzy then that will need sorting to run coil pack or swap his dizzy on to your motor , never done it so cant comment on if or how .
