How effective are the boot poppers? Is it enough to lift the tailgate? I'm just about to fit a solenoid and was thinking about one of these. Is the hole already on the tailgate or does it need drilling? Sorry for all the questions ;)

Can I ask how these work as I have a couple and would like to fit one on mine which hasn't got one at the mo cheer's chap's.

It's the spring thats the key as when the boot lpck button pushed it lifts the boot slightly making it easier to open
