Gear box

Hi guys I have just bought another corrado g60 :), my question is when you try to put the car into second gear it won't go sometimes but if u do it slowly it goes no problem does anyone know what the problem could be the rest of the gears at fine it's just going into second that it does it

The syncromesh between 1st and second may be bu**ered what sort of mileage has it done?

Yeh I was thinking syncros, Erm it's done 119000
