Joerrado 0 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm thinking of replacing my ropey old radiator before I put it back in. Already got the cowling off for powder coating. Stonejag 10 Posted March 31, 2014 Make sure you clean any rust off the radiator mounting brackets before fitting the new one. If you don't, the idiot fitters may well pound the old mounts into the slot on the new rad, permanently stretching the slots such that a regular bracket will no longer fit. Joerrado 0 Posted March 31, 2014 Thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll be going for a Hella which I'll be fitting myself. There's plenty of rust on the brackets. Are they still available from VW?
