Coke can to butterfly hose... Do i need it?

Recommended Posts

whilst refitting my manifold i put the carbon canister to butterfly valve hose under the rocker cover breather pipe and it was rested on my manifold and has now melted, I'm highly worries as i believe that may carry fuel vapour?can i just remove the hose at the carbon canister? i seem to remember they aren't nessacery?

Thanks

Yeah just terminate the outlet on the inlet manifold, or you end up with oil mist everywhere.

Oil mist? But there's no oil in them, I thought it was fuel vapour? Basically I want to stop the fuel vapour getting to the hot exhaust manifold, if my thinking is correct?
