Dave W 0 Posted May 19, 2014 Getting grief from wobbly steering wheel at about 50-60mph. Car has had original wheels refurbed and new rubber. All balanced ok. New bottom arms and top mounts. Everything tight with no play or knocks. Getting really annoying now.Dont know what to look at next. Two of wheels were pretty buckled and are on back. Can you bend a front hub ???. Jon_vr6 1 Posted May 19, 2014 Usually wheel wobble points to wheel balancing though. I had problems last year and after various trips to different outfits it was finally sorted. Dave W 0 Posted May 20, 2014 All new toyos. Had full alignment done after all work done. Wheels have been balanced twice now. Would locking wheel bolts upset it ?. Might pinch front wheels of wifes Up to prove wheels ok. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Supercharged 2 Posted May 22, 2014 You might want to ask them to look at the wheels on the balancer without the tyres on - see how round / balanced they are first... What wheels are they by the way? Just wondering if you're missing spiggot rings if aftermarket alloys? Dave W 0 Posted May 23, 2014 On original 1.8 16v alloys. Had them blasted and powder coated but should have checked to see how round they were first !!.
