CoxyLaad 0 Posted June 2, 2004 I looked at this car a couple of years ago mate, I remember it being for sale, I also remember it was sold for a shockingly cheap price.

Andy Brookes 0 Posted June 2, 2004 Tony Carter-Ingrams (Not to sure on the second part of the surname) car. He did lots of track days. That car was a bargain at the time.

PhatVR6 0 Posted June 2, 2004 no i didn't! (well, I might have done actually now you come to mention it) oh well, at least it tought us both a lesson not to bother with poxy 1.8T lumps ever again!
dr_mat 0 Posted June 2, 2004 I find this conversation strangely uplifting... :) I wonder if we'll be seeing the same thing in five years time talking about "poxy R32 lumps", now they've made it into the Audi range too.
Henny 0 Posted June 2, 2004 hopefully we won't be saying the same about the 1.9 TDI lumps though... ;)
dr_mat 0 Posted June 2, 2004 I suspect we will... In fact we already do. It's funny isn't it. There's only a few engine ranges in production now. All VW/Audi's/Seat/Skoda cars pretty much use the same two or three engines. All of the Peugeot/Citroen group use the exact same engines. I think it's only the japanese companies that are each independant and build their own now...

I suppose a supercharger will be pretty much the same as an NA car..........oh look I have one those in my garage 8) :D
corozin 0 Posted June 2, 2004 Does anyone know the whereabouts of the car that started this thread off? Tony sold it about 3 years ago to someone from the Stoke area, but has never seen / heard of it since. I remember Tony telling me the terrifying tale of the test drive the bloke took him for !
