Jim 2 Posted November 16, 2014 Hi all.. Had a bit of a search but didn't turn anything up. Noticed this weekend my horn isn't working. Checked the usual stuff and found the fuse was blown. Replaced the fuse and found as soon as I went to use it, it blew the fuse immediately without making a sound. The horn has worked up until fairly recently though I'm racking my memory to think if it's worked since I did the heater matrix job and just wondering if somehow I've managed to put a screw / fixing through a wire somewhere or something equally crap. Any thoughts on common things to check? Anyone had this before? Thanks. Thankfully my MOT is not due for some months but just worries me if I can't trace it as it obviously will never pass without a working horn :( Thanks. Jim Bowen 1 Posted November 16, 2014 The wiring does pass through the same area as the fog light wiring. Could be quite easy for it to get trapped if the front end has been off. Or could be chafed there, should be s rubber gromit in the holes. My horn broke and blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and horn stopped working again so replaced the horns and has been fine since. I've been putting off taking the front end off again as I want to swap to another alternator I have so it looks as though I now have another reason to do this job again in the coming months.
