Langsam 10 Posted May 8, 2015 Can anyone put me outta my misery. I've slowly been going through all the rattles in my C and I've found the most annoying rattles come from front seats. Especially the seat backs where they hinge. They seem to be quite loose, side to side as well as forward to back movement. Is it just simply taking the seats out and tightening the hinges or something else?
Wullie 1 Posted May 9, 2015 The plastic sliders on the rear of the seat that support it and move in the side runners wear and cause this. I think they are still available through Volkswagen.
Langsam 10 Posted May 9, 2015 It's not Plastic sliders on the runners, it's the actual hinged part of the seats.
fla 9 Posted May 9, 2015 Yes I know these. Not figured out a solution yet though, but I think it will need some foam padding rather than just felt.
jamiehamy 0 Posted May 10, 2015 My MOT man has commented on this problem the last two years, and he's right. There is a lot of movement in the hinged part causing the back to move a lot when not occupied. Will be interested also to hear if anyone has a solution to this...
