Recommended Posts

hi i am not sure what to do .i bought a polished 50mm inlet and rocker cover a while back.ive not fitted them yet and am wondering if i will get the time to keep them polished when fitted.has anyone got any pics of theres painted or polished.i think i will repaint the one on the car as its a shame to paint the polished ones

No pictures of them in the car at the moment but I have a blue powder coated inlet and black rocker cover. Both have some diamond cut detailing. Would have probably preferred just a polished inlet with blue VW and DOHC but it's grown on me. Would like to get matching hoses and HT leads to complete the look. It's a little Fast and Furious but I like the stock/ratty/rusty look on the outside, with a surprise engine bay.

Powder coated rocker cover and manifold on my 9a (too lazy to keep up with polishing).

What powder coating cost about

Was about £60 for the lot. As I use my car daily, I bought a new rocker cover and had that covered, so I could swap it all in a day.
