Otto 10 Posted June 15, 2015 Ok so its not exactly engine bay, but its close, so I hope am posting in the right forum. I have a fuel leak around the fuel filter area at the back of the car, but the hoses also look perished and I want to replace them while am doing the filter. Has anyone any experience of this, the metal fittings connecting the larger rubber hoses to the thinner plastic hoses look badly aged, how do these come off?, and is there oem replacements about or just standard fuel hose? Any help or advice welcome. Regards Dave
robrado974 1 Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) I believe it's a standard fuel line, 8mm . The spring clips can be purchased in any motor factors , or you can use jubilees if you prefer . Edited June 15, 2015 by robrado974
Gti_Jamo 10 Posted June 16, 2015 Had this issue with my G60. I removed the connections between the rubber and plastic pipes altogether. Put metal inserts into the plastic ends and joined them back together with jubilee clips.
