SR_Neale 10 Posted September 1, 2015 Hi all. Have just been lucky enough to buy a leather interior for the rado. My question is what glue is best to use to re attach the leather where it has come away on the door cards.
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted September 1, 2015 good question - I need to do similar to the door cards in the valver I was going to use some hi temp contact adhesive or similar if I can find any - hi temp due to the top of the door card being in the sun
Jim Bowen 1 Posted September 1, 2015 Something like this http://www.as-trim.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_18_31&products_id=71 They also do a thicker glue of the same type.

SR_Neale 10 Posted September 1, 2015 Cheers jim. I knew I had seen your pics with the pegs but just couldn't remember where. Did you have any issues with using normal super glue?
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted September 1, 2015 I like the temporary 'securing' mechanism lol

Jamie 1 Posted September 1, 2015 I use this and it's excellent. http://www.as-trim.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_16_20 The only thing to be wary of with superglue it does eventually go brittle and will start breaking up

Wasn't over keen on using super glue due to the possibility of it bleeding through and ending up with white blobs everywhere. How far does it go as there isn't a huge amount to do? Philly-R6 0 Posted September 1, 2015 I had great success with TrimFix High Temp spray adhesive. Just mask up everywhere and take your time. I used pegs, too...
lilfuzzer 1 Posted September 1, 2015 i did mine recently and just used a normal superglue i had lying around This sends shivers down my spine as used the same method very good but time consuming
Jamie 1 Posted September 1, 2015 I didn't have to use any form of clamp - once that AS glue grabs it's stuck. The downside obviously is you need to get it right first time
fonzooorooo 10 Posted September 1, 2015 If you need more pressure from the retro pegs, wrapping rubber bands round them works well.
