Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 26, 2004 Have a word with Chris, aka CorraodVR6NOS. He knows all about this. You can go much larger than 3.2 with the right crank, rod and piston combination apparently. I don't know the exact details I'm afraid.
bigpants baby 0 Posted June 26, 2004 Any idea about power gains over stock 2.8 engine?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 26, 2004 A 3.1 build using 11:1 CR JE pistons with Schrick VGI, 268 cams and remap will yield somewhere in the 240 to 250 region with the torque to match. That's a conservative figure, you may get a little more if Geoff Everett applies his magic to the remap. It costs a lot of money to achieve that though, but it's a solid, good performing motor. bigpants baby 0 Posted June 26, 2004 what about with me z engineering s/charger on there as well
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 26, 2004 Well over 300....but you'll have to use the JE 9:1 pistons and Raceware rod and head bolts to hold the engine together when on boost. Cheaper to build a 2.8/2.9 turbo.... and get more power/torque
