Where does this part go? g60

im sorting through parts i had powdercoated and know where everything goes apart from this small bracket.

i think ive found it no15 in the below diagram but not certain and diagram shows it floating in the air to the left of the head lol

im sure im missing something obvious so please enlighten me...

if any one has a photo that would be handy i cant find anything google images

oh and i cant see a part no as its been powdercoated before anyone asks LOL

Although it's been more than 10 years since i last removed the head off a g60 engine, those brackets look like the ones used to secure down the Black, plastic fuel injector rail. Have you found 2 small Allen head bolts that were used with the brackets?

Or they could have come off the heat should that is/was supposed to be fitted to avoid heatsoak.

Its the holder for the after run temp sensor, sensor screws into the bracket and the bracket lives under ones of the mountings for the fuel injector rail.

 

Have a look at image number 38 on VAG Cat its on there and pretty clear where it goes.
