Are AVITAL Alarms any good?

Recommended Posts

I need to get an insurance approved alarm fitted to my C. A mate of mine can fit me an AVITAL MAX 1 for £195 incl VAT. Does anyone know if this is a good price or should i go for the Clifford Concept 300 he can fit me for £295 incl VAT?

Never heard of that alarm but a word of warning with Cliffords as this always comes up

If they are not fitted properly they will just drive u mad alot of people have experienced this where anything like UV light to rain to a bus going past

Have u looked at Scorpion, Toad, Meta, Cobra etc????

Less than £200 seems pretty cheap for a cat1. I haven't heard of Avital, are they defo cat1?

Gavin

EDIT. Have checked the website and they are Thatcham approved. 'With modest pricing'

Thanks for all the replies, how much do you reckon for a Toad, with full closure fitted then? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

I've never heard of Avital, and I did quite a bit of research into cat1 alarms only a month or so ago. Certainly all of the approved fitters I contacted didn't sell it...

My Toad ai606 cost £300 fitted in its standard form, thats with full closure, immob, etc. Then I added on some extras at an additional cost. Toad alarms also come with a lifetime warranty, which is worth its weight in gold I reckon.
