Oil pressure issue

Recommended Posts

Need help with a '92 VR6, I pulled the head and replaced the gasket(leaking) had it planed, replaced the lifters and oil check valve. After this there is no oil pressure to the upper end, lifters very noisy. Oil pressure light goes out but upper end appears dry. Need help please.

When I rebuilt my engine it was very noisy for about 5/10 minutes. It’s normal apparently but scares the **** out of you for sure! If are worried though maybe get an oil pressure tester for peace of mind.

I'm removing the filter hsg now so I can run a manual gauge(what a PITA) Do you know the oil routing from the pump to the head? Is it jut through the check valve? It appears that way but I can't confirm.

Lifters are new and soaked for about a week before installing. Its hard to see much through the oil cap but top end appears dry.
