Dandan62 10 Posted October 16, 2019 (edited) Hi. Trying to sort my son's running problems and I think its the metering head. The part number on the existing head seems to be Bosch 0438101039. Anyone got one they could sell and send? Obviously known good condition is essential. vw rule 19 Posted October 17, 2019 Hello there, I think the part number for the fuel metering head for the 9A engine is, 051 133 471AX What symptoms are you getting ? No fuel at all to injectors ? I'm trying to sort this replacement for my son so I'm afraid I'm not going to go into the problem as it's been covered elsewhere and he's had professional advice. I really appreciate your interest though. So at this stage I'm searching for a replacement. There were a few for sale on Ebay recently, unfortunately I don't have one for sale myself. Hopefully someone on hear might have one. Alternatively you can have them rebuilt/overhauled but isn't cheap, but is a lot cheaper than buying a new one. VW Classic Parts in Germany have the part you need, but it's hellish expensive as it's a brand-new item, plus it'll just be a bare metering head with the air flow sensor on the back, cost is close to £800 The fuel distributor and fuel pressure regulator are sold separately I believe. The fuel distributor Part number 051 133 481X New price £1000 Fuel governor / fuel pressure regulator Part number 034 133 482 New price possibly £450 can't see this item on VW Classic Parts site.
