another coilover question sorry

i need to buy a set but i dont want the cheap ebay stuff and cant afford the high end ones, i have seen 2 sets that are in my price range the first are

which ones would you recommend ,also im not looking for a hard ride but a comfortable one that will handle the odd abuse

AP get good reviews. They're made by KW and are essentially V1, but have an electroplated body rather than stainless like the V1. 

I've heard mixed reviews on the Gaz. They are damping adjustable though which is a good feature to have. 

Have you thought about lowering shocks and springs rather than coilovers? With anything lower you'll be compromising comfort, but coilovers tend to be a little more harsh even when extended fully.

got koni's  on with h&r 40mm lower springs but one spring snapped so thought i would give coilovers a go

i chose KW V1's & they have been great for over 90000 miles

as with most things you get what you pay for - avoid Gaz lol

IIRC if you get them direct from KW i believe you can ask for a slightly softer spring rate to make the ride softer - Kevin Bacon mentioned it on here years ago im sure
