G60 Speedo Cable vs Electronic Sensor?

Hi all, 

Getting to the end of my G60 transplant but have come across an issue with the speedo. As an early 16v my C originally had the speedo cable but my G60 has the later electronic sensor, I've installed the G60 loom to match but what does this mean for the clocks?

Understood there was no difference in the clocks themselves so had planned to keep the original 16v ones, does anyone have any idea if this is an issue? is there a later part number i haven't seen?
