Joe M 0 Posted August 21, 2004 I just had mine fitted on Tuesday. 8) Custom made and fitted from c+c exausts in Glasgow so not much use to yourself, £70.50 all in. So far noticed, its a bit louder than with the standard cat, and it does feel like its added a bit of go. Probably not worth it though if its going to cost more than £100, also you need to consider that the cat needs refitted mot time.
LDZ2555 0 Posted August 21, 2004 Yes there is a de cat pipe available for the VR i have got a miltek one it is good quality and went on easy enough there is two different length pipes and the one i got. It has a extra lambda sensor hole on mine though so you will need a spare sensor to go in or bolt i put in a spare lambda sensor not wired to anything though. I have been told its for aftermarket ECUS. I have no idea about performance gains as i changed my engine from a 1.8 to a VR and changed it at the same time . Hope this helps
corradovr6sc 0 Posted August 21, 2004 I've got the magnex de-cat pipe. Cost about £90. Not sure on power gains (corrados already have a high-flow cat so probably not much gain) unless you want to preserve your cat as they are expensive and I think only VW supply them.
