S0NIC 0 Posted September 22, 2004 I am currently experiencing problems getting my engine to fire up. 2.0l 16v. 1st symptoms of a problem was a spluttery journey home, followed by the next morning it not starting at all. The fuel pump kicks in, there is a good spark, but it's possibly flooding! I've had the car in a garage to be checked and they reckon it's the metering head or a temperature sensor - would this sound right? By pulling out the relay controlling the head it fires up and then runs until no fuel left. Put the relay back in and a very lumpy idle. I was advised the best bet is to get hold of a new metering head from a breakers - but then theres no guarantees.
