Right! So Mystic Blue is the one to go for then!!!! :D Cheers chaps! Now never having owned a C, what shoul I look for problems wise??
-
I'd prefer a Storm, as you can tell from my sig I drive a MK3 Highline at the mo and would like to stick with the rarer "last of the run" theme! Am I also right in thinking that the Storm was the only C to come in mystic blue? And could you get a "normal" C in classic green?

What's the going rate for one of these fine animals in good condition, standard with about 60-70k on the clock?
-
A silver sheep?!?! I've never seen one of those! Sorry...Sorry! I couldn't resist!.... I'll get me coat!
-
Glad to help! Where abouts are you? You say near Chester, I'm in Flint!
-
Have you tried DUBSPORT? Thats where I take my VR6 Golf! J27 off the M6. 01257 473383 John and mark are good lads and know their stuff!

I'm 21 and bought the Highline when I was 20! But a 993 is my ambition! Maybe next year?! -
I'm an Auditor. And yes sometimes it is as boring as it sounds, but not always!
-
Tom, my premium is £1300 (Ouch) as I'm only 21! A few companies laughed at me when I said I wanted to be insured on a VR6! But privilige were cool they prefer not to have mods, but don't charge the earth for them!

I think these wheels are called Santa Monica's and they'll fit straight onto a C, as the mk4 has the same 5x100 stud pattern. The offset should be spot on as well! Look in the sports and performance section of the autotrader, in the audi and VW sections there is usually an advert for VAG alloys with tyres! HTH

Hmmm.... Food for thought! I like the idea of a turbo with small boost just for that little bit extra! 8)

The turn2 kit cost me an extra £38 which I was pleasantly suprised about as I was expecting it to be nearer £80! I'm with privilege! They seem pretty cool!
-
Thats my cue!!! The Turn 2 kit is fantastic! A little bit more expensive than average but worth every penny and more! It has transformed the cars sound and performance! top bit of kit!

The 2.9 is already stretching the limit a bit! If you think, the origional VR was designed to be a 2.4, then became a 2.6, then a 2.8 and then the 2.9 for the 'rado. The 3.2 is a different block (ie it is a 24v engine as apposed to a 12v) and thus a little bit bigger. You may be able to shoehorn a 3.2 into a 'rado, but I'd say 3.2 would be pushing a bit too far. Try posting an email to Niko on here, his VR is running at 3.1 at the mo. HTH

Hey ROADHOG! Firstly do you want them actually chroming or mirror polishing? The result is quite similar. Chroming- This is a coating on top of the alloy. Polishing- This is when the laquer and paint from th alloy is taken off and the bare metal is polished to a mirror finish. Both have their pro's and con's too. But a guy that does both is Jeff Seddon (owner of B16 DUB)contact HTH

VR6 Was the seller, Emails were quickly replyed to, goods sent quickly and very well packaged. A pleasure to deal with!
-
I didn't think about that! Cheers Daz!

I took my intake manifold off last night to get it polished, I found some oil inside the air intake pipe. Does anyone know how or where this could have come from?
-
Daz, not sure what time we'd be leaving yet. It depends on whether or not John manages to get us some space for an E1K stand. But I'd like to get there early to see what bargins are going.... Thats if I've got any money left by then!! Oh and thanks for the Email. Was after a wooden gear knob from a Highline for Dans 'rado but someone beat me to it!
-
You know I'll be there mate!!!
-
I'm going to make an idiot of myself now by asking what is "The Sprinter"???

Anyone got any pic's or info onthe Campaign C? Or does anyone own one!?!?!

Before you get any work done on your engine, get the water pump checked as this is regularly confused for a blown head gasket by VW maindealers. They did it with a freind of mines mk2 16v and then again to the same bloke on his corrado a year later, but this time he knew! Water pump is a hell of a lot cheaper! HTH
