New member looking for advice on what type of Rado to buy
mark28G60 replied to mk4steve's topic in General Car Chat
After having my g60 my heart would tell you to go for one of these. But now i have a mark 3 golf vr6, i would say go for a late vr6 something like an m or n as suggested above. The 92 cars now are just slightly looking a little to old in the dash dept. Unless your the mother of modding like Mr Renshaw and you make it into a brand new model inc all mod cons. Mark  -
Traffic Cop Gets away with driving at 159mph
mark28G60 replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
Seeing as though the average car will not do 159 and then it would need to be on a very long strech of road, id rather the police back off a pursuit in that case and use the helicopters that i pay for. NO WAY should he be doing 159 in some areas of a 30. He should have been banned from driving for at least 1yr and been given a desk job. But then the uni would step in and we wont even go there.......... just my 5p worth Mark -
Ive got fully comp cover with a guarantee payout, but this still does not seem to shift them any more. I looked at taking on the hire of the loan car but its just over £400 for the next 4 weeks. I might even be able to make a little on the car ive bought if i have to sell it. Mark

No news yet? Insurance company as normal being a pain, losing hire vehicle tonite so no car for me, unless i go and buy another. Could take another 2 weeks for insurance payout, even though i explanined that i couldnt get to work without a car. (insurance cover only had for 2wks hire car) if it takes a month or 6wks then why not 6wks hire car. Have now had to borrow money to buy another car, this has to be something worthwhile cause if/when (police still not been out to see me) they find mine i need to sell the car i have just bought to pay back money i borrow. Its getting upsetting now as im starting to stress about this and works getting a little bit pissed about me on the phone all the time. I have found a nice car though, so some tiny little silver lining Hope to see you all at inters Mark

My intercooler was from a Renault 5 turbo upgrade, made a big difference to the car. The lower section below the radiator and up to infront of the rad. attached pic for you to see. I would suggest bidding for this it looks to be worth it to me. Mark

Latest news, Police might be round later to fingerprint, its on the call sheet. ?????? They took a statement over the phone from me and said someone would be in touch. Garage door has always been a little suspect on the lock, but its only a council garage used to keep the dirt off the car. Had left car in the garage ready for this weekends gti festival after a quick clean over. Mark

Thank you to all of you who put posts up. 1. Reg is J498 CGF 2. Essex area for location around colchester. 3. I think this has been knicked either to order???? but more than likely for parts ie charger, interior and such. 4. Yes the car was insured fully comp thic thing cost me nearly 8 grand to build i was not insuring it half hearted. BUT So far its 1. Police got back to me 6hrs after i called them out and are going to send someone out to try and get fingerprints. there not very hopeful of finding the car though. (there words not mine) 2. had 1 1/2hr phone conversation with Insurance company with regards to claiming. 3. Had very upset mum on the phone, who suprise suprise actually really liked the car. (they say the nicest things) Thx once again If anyone hears any thing please email me or leave a message on the forum. Mark

Ive got a front mounted one from a renault 5 turbo upgrade. About the same size as the pitstop one but was a lot cheaper. (good old ebay). Bit of work fitting it but works a treat and definatley gives me better power. Mark

When you rob that bank can you pick me up some spending money please. Gotta love the noise of these G60's even if the wallet is always empty. Mark -
Id say its got to be good for around 200bhp. Are you still running the standard intercooler as this could let you down a little?? Mark

Its nothing to bad, just needs some good old tlc and cash spent on it. Both of these i dont have loads of at the mo. things like my whole sound system needs a rewire and re think, new front bumper needed (back to standard style), plus calipers, front brakes to brembo .........and so on. My mates is the mark 3 golf, ken york running just 1 no 15 and 2 amps. 155db He did have 2 off his old cars there including the one with all the MA Audio gear in it.

Didnt take mine, was with a friend in his mark 3 sound off car, thats how i spotted your car. Mine needs some work and tlc after a winter of general destruction to the old girl. to many probs for this topic.

Bally, Thought it was your car, the dust was pretty bad actually, poxy chavs and helicopters, thought they spent most of there time trying to get away from them not in to them. Agree we need to cull the chavs, goverment can keep ban on Fox hunting as long as culling of chavs becomes legal. :2gunfire: Ladies were looking good though.

1st One Ok saw Cheesy's car at Ripspeed Donny North (dont ask) looks cool and i have to admit updated headlamps really do shine the car off. Cheesy wasnt there but his friend was doing a good job of cleaning up the car. 2nd One Out in the car park H5** M*D looked very nice was a definate forum member (due to the sticker in the window). Car was clean and was getting some admiring looks from people walking past it. :offtopic1: BTW show was different this year with a slightly more chav feel than normal. Did get hammered though in a very cool nightclub in central doncastor where honest to god even the ugly birds looked fit :smurfette: or maybe that was the drink..:drinking: Mark

My MFA reads about 3 to 4mpg better than im actually doing. I drive for 1 hour to work in some traffic (35mins) some nice and clear 70mph roads so its fairly average. Mine reads 30mpg where actually i know im getting 27mpg or so. 290miles/49ltrsx4.55(ltrs to gal) = 27mpg I think thats right????? Mark

Spent the weekend trying to sell my body on ebay to pay for the new clutch and clutch cylinder thats just been fitted to the car. Am now trying to work out how to pay for new rear calipers, exhaust, and a supercharger overhaul. Went into a porsche delearship at the weekend, guy admires car and then anounces that a boxster is cheaper on parts than my c . You think i dont know that by now........... Washed it,polished, cleaned it, then drove down a dirty track and got it filthy. Another enjoyable weekend with my car.

Have tried to bleed the system but clutch pedal is still going down all the way. What do people think, someone already mentioned the slave cylinder, is this that hard to change and what sort of money do u think?
-
where is the clutch fluid resivour, is it the same as the brake resivour or is it a different one? i hate brakes and clutch never been good with hydraulics. Mark

Ok Here goes, Over the last couple of days clutch has got a little to easy with regards to pedal travel. Went out this morning to a friends and thought seems to be a bit to easy but had to go.
