Hi all, I have recently rebuilt my VR6 engine and yesterday when we attempted to start the engine for the first time the instrument cluster lit up and switched on as normal. I do get backlighting when I throw the light switch, that is all. Today however I have nothing, what are the wire colours and fuse locations for the instrument cluster? My fuel pump is not priming either and I would assume these problems must be linked....maybe from the ignition switch area? I have attached some pics The cables in my hand come from the instrument cluster, are these meant to plug in somewhere? Thanks Jamie

Hi All, As above, I am after the high pressure power steering hose. I seem to have cracked mine. Thanks Jamie

Hi All, I'm looking for a Kit/Supplier so that I can supercharge my VR6. Does anyone have any info on who to contact? Many Thanks

Hi All, I posted in the new members section a few weeks back. I'm a returning customer to a Corrado and this is my second VR6 (shouldn't of sold the last one). Engine is on 180k miles and the head gasket had gone. Timing chains luckily for me were done at 170k. Below are some pictures I have taken along the way. I have replaced all gaskets, sanded, cleaned up and painted both the head and the crank case. I have also cleaned up and painted the inlet manifold, rocker cover and oil filter housing. The pistons were covered in carbon build up and general crap. I have painstakingly cleaned as much as I can to get as cleaner finish as possible. Now the engine is near enough finished I have moved on to the engine bay where I will clean off all the surface rust from the metal, I will tidy up all the cables and pretty much everything else in the bay. Hoping to have her on the road looking perfect by March 2016 :)

Hi All, If you didn't already know, a corrado national meeting is being held on Sunday 30th August at Uttoxeter Race Course. The meeting is part of an already successful show called "The Big Meet". All Corrado's will be in one area and there will be a very special "Best Corrado" award :) Info below :)

I sold my VR6 less than 10 months ago! Ever since the day it left me I had regretted it! After looking at Corrado's for the past few weeks I had an opportunity that I just could resist. The only thing wrong with the car was that it needs a new head gasket and a little spruce up (even comes with the lovely black leather interior). The lovely gentleman who decided to sell it to me just hadn't the time to restore the car to it's former glory. He didn't want to see a car like this go to scrap so he has entrusted me to restore the car to it's former glory. All this for less than £1000 (i'm not going to reveal the exact price I paid but I got a very very good deal) I'm picking the car up tomorrow and I cannot wait to get started....AGAIN! This time it's my weekend toy as opposed to my daily so hopefully this will last a fair bit longer than the last one!! My Old one: New One:

Hi All, I sold my VR6 around 12 months ago now. To cut a long story short I couldn't live without one. That being said I have just got hold of a Corrado, needs a little work but I love a challenge. The biggest problem is that that head gasket has gone. How much of a big job is this? I understand it will take some time but is it a PITA? Are there any guides available alongside the use of the Bentley manual. Many Thanks Jamie

Hey Jimmy, We could happily do a mass club stand at The Big Meet this year which would a pretty incredible sight!! I attended a mass meet at Bruntingthorpe last year and it was outstanding. What do you think? -

Hey All As some of you may know, I used to own a Corrado, I sold it for an R32. Loved every minute of the Corrado. For the third year now I am running a car show with a group of friends. For the past 2 years we have used Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds. We have decided to change venue for this year, we are now at Uttoxeter Race Course for 2 days!! The 30th will be show day, the 29th is camping day. I would love it if we got a smashing turnout of Corrado's this year! If someone want's to head up a clubstand that would be epic If you need any info. Drop me a message. See the attached flyer

I'm selling my pride and joy. It's just not practical to use the Corrado day in day out. MOT until March 2014 Mileage 124,960 Pictures are below but I will start with the important things. I have had the car 12 months now, there were many issues with it, mostly electrical but I have rectified these. Below are the things i have replaced - Sunroof & Motor - MK3 VR6 288mm front brake upgrade - Spoiler Motor - Retrimmed headlining in perforated leather (old one was tat) - Speedo & surrounds (correct mileage of car is 124,960)(have proof) - Clutch has been replaced - Uprated headlight loom - Front discs & Pads - Rear Discs & Pads - Rear wheel bearings - 2 new control arms - Sump - Oil Pickup - Crack pipe - Thermo Housing - Remperature Sensors - Replaced 90% of cooling system hoses - Drivers door handle (old one stopped working) - Rocker cover gasket - Rear lights (old ones were cracked) - Lupo GTI wiper conversion - Replaced wiper linkage & motor - Upgraded head unit - Panasonic - Heater Matrix - Momo Steering wheel - Magnex De-Cat exhaust system - Toad Ai606 Alarm - The rear quarters, spoiler & rear bumper have been re-sprayed (DuPont Paint) - Standard speedline alloys, 4 new tyres and not a mark on them - Cleaned and re-painted brake calipers - BMC Air Filter - Scuttle tray - Rear number plate tub - New bonnet seals - Oil has been changed 4 times in the past 12 months - Spark plugs have been changed twice - Oil Filter replaced - Fuel Filter Replaced - New starter motor - Door striker pins - Weitec Adjustable Coilovers The car has been awesome, I have spent lots of money on it to keep it fully maintained. I have driven the car to Amsterdam and it was faultless, The car spends most of the time on the motorway going to and from work, I can easy get around 40mpg on the daily commute. The car starts & runs perfectly, no noise from chains or tappets. The bad bits - Lots of stone chips on the front bumper - 1 or 2 car park dings - scratch on bottom of bumper (approx 2 inches long) - Hasn't been serviced by a garage in 2 years but I have done everything a service entails and more I have probably forgot lots of things that have been changed/replace £4000

I had the same problem,I got a new ignition switch from VW, took me 15minutes. The biggest PITA is the little brass screw, I chiselled it off and replaced with a cable tie. I used to get mine to start by hitting the switch when turning the key
-
Hi all, Could someone tell me what the hose is as pointed out in the picture, mine has a hole in (melted onto exhaust manifold) and where could I get one. Thanks
-
I'm keeping it!! I realise that through all the breakdowns, repairs, cuts, bruises and money spent I won't find another car that is better than this!!! People don't understand why I own a car that is a constant money pit but these people will never understand unless they drive one! P.S. I use it every single day
-
Haha amazing. Yeah you're kinda swaying me to keep it. So when's the next corrado forum meet haha
