1. I'll get a photo of them on the car tomo if you want?
2. That blue then original, blue then original. Same photo position and lighting etc
3.
4. Dam. Wish I had tried that. I got some adhesive remover stuff at it and they wouldn't move at all. Still have the originals sitting in a drawer so might do that tomo and refit another time. Thanks for the tip

6. I said I would do this a long time ago but only got around to fitting new wing mirror glass now. The one I bought was from ebay (blue, convex, heated +P). Drivers side: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RIGHT-DRIVER-OFF-S-BLUE-CONVEX-HEATED-P-DOOR-MIRROR-GLASS-FOR-VW-CORRADO-88-95-/390617553250?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item5af29ed962 Passanger Side: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PASSENGER-LHS-BLUE-CONVEX-HEATED-P-WING-DOOR-MIRROR-GLASS-FOR-VW-CORRADO-88-95-/390617552429?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item5af29ed62d Took some very crude measurements using 1.75l coke bottle, 70cl gin bottles and 1l gin bottles (I am a student and live with alot of women that love gin). So I placed the original mirror at a distance of 35cm (height of coke bottle) from the gin and placed as many as I could in the viewable part of the mirror. Did the same with the new mirror glass. What I got was: I could get only 25.5cm with the original but 33.5cm with the new (green line distance). did some maths and basically it turns out like this. Original theoretical viewing angle = 15.95 deg New theoretical viewing Angle = 27.86 deg Big increase. This is the angle that is behind the mirror marked with X So you can work out what the length of the green line will be (distance from side of car to object beside you) using the formula: distance you are from the mirror (black line) divided by the tan of the angle. None of this is very scientific but gives an idea. Long story short, works out at an increase of 50% distance along the green line at 1m from the glass. Fitting was easy enough, just needed to bend the heater connectors at the back. The supplied plastic holder isn’t as good as the original but near impossible to remove the original ones to reuse. The adhesive on the new ones aren’t great either but does the job. If I was putting them on again, I would put on some strong adhesive to make sure it stays on. Only just fit them today, so if they fall off (here’s hoping not), I shall update this etc. Got a few photos but don’t think they are really necessary. That’s it. Would definitely recommend them. 7. Wow that is accurate. Thanks. Still need to drop over to say hi some time. Maybe after I get the wrap. Don't want to really embarrass myself :)
8. Wondering if anyone might happen to know the rough dimensions of a vr6 bonnet. Want to wrap mine until I can pay for full respray as I think its letting down the car a lot. Loads of lacquer peel.
9. Thanks guys. Found a Passat b4 saloon and an Ibiza mk2 hatchback. Not sure on the year of the Passat but the Ibiza is a 97. Also found a mk1 Toledo 1993 but it is a manual sunroof. Not sure if I could convert it to an electric with the Corrado vr6 motor. Any suggestions what the best choice would be?
10. Just wondering if any has tried a Passat b4 cl sunroof in a Corrado? Or does anyone know if it'll fit? Tried a couple different sunroofs but none have fit exactly yet and getting tired of removing and fitting them. Any advice would be amazing.
11. Thanks guys. Only found out about inline fuse thing when searching for answers to this issue. I'll be doing that next week. Still a bit confused why the green illumination isn't working when I have the 10amp fuse in. Saw about the issue with LEDs fitted to the clock, which I have. Anyone find a way to get this working? Would like to keep my red LEDs rather than go back to green bulbs.
12. I got a headlight switch (late model) off this forum a while back. Was told that it was from the group buy a while ago. In the off position, ignition on, there is a red light on in the switch. When I put the switch to the on position, there is no illumination. If I remove the 10amp fuse from position 3 (instrument fuse), a green light turns on in the switch. Wondering if this has happened with anyone else? Also the gauge illumination doesn't work :( Guessing its a duff switch but just want to make sure before going thru all the hassle of finding another one. Took long enough to find this one.
13. Worked perfect without the aftermarket head unit. Guess my speedo is out by 5mph though as the C went up at 60 and the A at 50. Just need to figure out which wire to pull from connector and tape up. Thanks for the help
14. Just connected them together with a paper clip and all my dash lights come on, even without ignition so guessing not to connect them :)
15. Just out at the car now. Removed the stereo and about to go for a blast around. See if anything changes. Going to the stereo, it has two blue white wires. Neither are connected to the stereo. Are these meant to be connected together to close the loop or left unconnected? Speedo works fine and spoiler on button. Must be something to do with aftermarket stereo. Had massive hassle with it when put in first not turning on with ignition etc.
16. Mystic did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have the same issue and have fitted 3 different spoiler control modules but no difference. Works on button perfectly. Speedo fine too
17. Nearly 4 yrs in the UK and first Corrado spot actually moving. Black g60 I think on m8 near glasgow city centre exit. Looked great, well compared to my rust bucket.
18. Found a thread. Answer seems to be yes, it fits perfect if anyone was wondering.
19. I'm having great difficulty finding a b3 or b4 sunroof. Know that the mk3 sunroof mech fits but not the glass (sots a bit proud in the middle). I've heard that the mk2 Ibiza, mk2 Toledo and mk1 Octavia sunroof fit a Corrado with no worries. A couple mk1 Octavia sunroofs about. Anyone have any idea if this is true or not. Really like the idea of having a moon roof so looking for glass rather than the Corrado panel in mk3 mech.
20. Can I call dibs on the following if not called already. Any chance of getting photos of the following and cost of postage to Glasgow? Seems like the Glasgow boys are all over this garage clear out :) VR6 HT leads, if Goldie passes Standard vr6 front calipers Front grill badges in 3M carbon wrap, is it Corrado or golf? Isv, if mrginge doesn't take it Speedline centre caps for 15s? Polished throttle body Polished upper VR6 manifold. Thanks Kev
21. Getting a company car shortly so plan to take the Corrado off the road to work on it properly. Can't really do everything I want when its my daily. Wondering if anyone knows of an affordable place to store the car? A place that I can also do work on it. Hoping for something around the 50 a month mark but know that is ambitious. Can be anywhere with 45mins of Glasgow west end and needs to be secure. Any thoughts/ advice would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance
22. If I find a decent moon roof for okay money then I will. But finding that difficult at the moment. Will pm you if my search is successful.
23. Thanks dragon. Think my whole sunroof is near shot :( Upgrade to a moon roof might be necessary. But at least I got it nearly closed. A bit of tape to seal it up just in case
