  1. I bought a donor Golf VR6 box from a scrapyard for £250, removed my box and sent both to gearboxman.co.uk who swapped the ratios box to box for £100/£200 (can't quite remember). Refitted my 'new' box and then even managed to sell the Golf VR6 box with G60 ratios inside for £250 )
  2. I run Golf VR6 CCM ratios which are all a bit longer than standard. With around 200bhp+?? it works a treat.
  3. Try http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk I've had 2 sets of wheels done by Brian, and a few mates have had sets done too. Chuffed to bits with them (for the money). Toby
  4. Think I've just found the answer on ETKA. I bet you guys have relay 357 955 531 or 3B0 955 531 If the pin layout is the same hopefully I'll be able to do a swap. Mine has 4 pins in the usual orientaion, plus one extra small pin in the corner.
  5. Mine either doesn't have the variable intermittent or it doesn't work. I've just spent the last 10 mins trying!! The relay is No. 19 and black, but isn't any bigger than any of the others on the board. it also has A7051 printed on it in white (like the 19) Part No. is 191 955 531 and it also says 'UH2 12V SIEMENS 72 WV 006 Made in Austria' on it. Can one of you guys that has working variable intermittent please check your relay for me... Thanks Toby
  6. I have tried, but with no luck. I'll have another "more careful" go and see. I'm on an H plate though so maybe I am too young ??
  7. I would like these on my G60. Can I swap in the relevant relay? Does anyone know which one it is, what from the VAG group it's on and how to identify it so that I can get one from a scrap yard rather than paying VW prices ??!! Cheers Toby
  8. The VR6 clutch is a straight swap for the G60 one - and it's cheaper !?!

    Twin inlets

Pics on this thread would be good, I'm thinking of doing the same...
  10. Just put the solid rubber one from other marks of Golf etc. on mine PN:191199262A, but you need the bracket to go with it for the conversion PN:357199471. Also, the bolt through the centre needs to be bought separately, can't remeber the PN for that but you'll be able to see on ETKA. Apart from that it's a straight swap. Get the bracket and bolt from VW and the mount from either VW or GSF and the the like. All in it cost about £45 I think...??? A mate of mine has just done his too, with the solid rubber VW front mount and gearbox mount (rather than the jelly ones) and the set up on both is great. Toby
  11. Can anyone confirm if this is in fact an M10 x 1K thread. (The one on top of the oil filter housing) Cheers...
  12. To those that have changed this as a preventative measure - is it easy to undo. I have a horrible vision of going to replace mine and in undoing the old one - sheering it off ?!?!!?
  13. Does anyone have pics of the early upper IC piping that goes to the TB bend? (the bit that holds the CO pot) On Etka the part is split accross chassis numbers and I need to visualize the differences between the early and the late piping. Cheers.
  14. Just phoned the Stealer - £87 for the hall sender kit. Bit expensive as a "change and hope it fixes it"!
  15. Cheers Dubcharged, Have sent you a PM.
