Sucks, doesn't sound like to much fun. Update us with your findings.

G0ldf1ng3r: I appreciate the welcome, I will hopefully have some progress going on the Rocco in another month or two; currently on hold due to other financial restrictions. Inkarnata: Yes, Ef Electrical issues! If you thought Man-asses was funny; the county over is Dumfries... people living on the border, between counties, are known as Dumassas! :bonk: Ok, all corny jokes aside, I am really happy to be the new owner of her. I was lucky enough to find some Clear Turn signals that are undamaged; needless to say, They are already on their way! Now to find some yellow fogs I think that will be about all I am going to do to the exterior. I may consider adding red/clear tails and if I can find them, clear side markers but not a 100% sure yet.

Brief Vid of her in a park, very unique exhaust IMPO. Edit: I forgot to post the Video.

Thanks, it has a few electrical issues I need to identify. Sunroof only tilts but doesn't slide back and forth; headlights are dim; no cruise control; and the infamous rear wing, which works but only by the push of a button. Drove her for about an hour, I am very pleased to be her new owner.

It is official; she should be mine by, late, August. Photos for your viewing pleasure.

Ah, got ya. Well hopefully it gets sorted quick, easily, and cheap!
-
With all that you listed, it likely isn't the battery. A bad battery would cause somethings to be dim and/or operate slowly; not likely for everything to just stop. If you have a multimeter, I would check to see if power is going through (assuming you haven't found a blown fuse).

I know you said you are not in the market right now; I saw This and thought of you. Looks like, at the very least, there are at least people in your area you can talk to about your future corrado.
-
Inkarnata: It sounds like you may have blown a fuse. Hopefully it is a quick and easy fix for you. GlosterOx: Thank you, I appreciate that information.
-
Have you been able to find any in your area yet? I am going to be checking out my possible purchase this weekend.
-
To be clear, you are saying you have both spark and fuel coming out of the lines; correct? If so, have you tried draining out the old petrol and replacing it with new petrol? believe it or not, it makes a difference.

I would still be interested in the video, to see how it pulls :shades: -
Very nice, I am curious to know if, when doing the moonroof swap, you need to use the Passat track or stick with the Corrado track. I'd like to know what hurdles you come across as well; if you don't mind.

Aside from the ISV, have you checked for any Vacuum leaks?
-
There is always room for Vr6 FI love :smug: I am working on a Supercharged 12v Vr6, hope to have her done by the end of the year to the beginning of next.

That is one heck of a journey you got there. I can't wait to be at the point where I have my project at the point where I can drive her; actually, I would be happy to just to turn the key and start her lol. Do you by chance plan on posting a video of her cruising? -
Nice! the one I am working on picking up has grey cloth. I am going to do a thorough inspection on it this weekend, if all goes to plan I will be the new owner. I will take lots of pics when the time comes. I am debating if I want to source out leathers or just have what is in it, rewarpped.

Sounds like a blast lol. Have you got much work done to your Rado, I see in your signature you have nice list of parts; is that all in your Rado?
-
Your assumption is correct, I am on the East coast; born and raised in Bronx, NY but currently reside in Manassas, VA. It would appear as if we have a similar taste in vehicles; my main project is a Mk1 Scirocco S1, I was hoping to have her done by August but life throws lemons at you sometimes.. I have learned to make lemonaid with them. I know all about the Chevy vs. Ford crap. Personally I admire any well made machine. In terms of recommendation, I still stand with the 2.8 Vr6. You can do a mild and cheap build, the sound and performance will keep you satisfied until you're ready for more. When the time comes, you can swap in a larger 3.6l Vr6, and the rest is yours. You can also throw guru bucks at it and convert it to AWD, I know one day I may consider that swap. Have you heard of the Lugtronic Stand alone engine management system? That is the last big purchase I need to make for my build. As far as the Turbo vs. SC goes; both make great power and are good for there purposes. If you are after the numbers, I recommend Turbo, if you are after drivibility, I recommend a SC. Depend on where you go, who you talk to, and what you read, you can find supporting arguments for both sides. A lot of people go after Turbos to get that Cherp sound or the sound of the dwindling down after hard acceleration but both hurt performance and, more importantly, can damage your turbo. I can speak on both forms of FI and N/A motors very well and honestly recommend both, based on build goals; just as long as they are being used appropriately. You seem to be on the right track and I don't doubt, for a second, you will be able to tackle this with ease. Researching is your best tool, use and abuse that sucker!

180!? holy crap! I have more than that many people in one project building from where I was raised! You must know EVERYONE lol. How is the VW scene by you?
-
Sounds like you found yourself a keeper! How is the interior?

lol, I am 28 with no kids and a gf who doesn't want any lol. Currently all of my money goes to my cars, it will be that way for a while; at least until I can convince her to have a family lol. I enjoyed the passat, but everything went at the same time (4 month span) I couldn't keep up with all the parts. After a while, I had to park the car and get another one till I can finish fixing it. Now Ihave all the parts but no time. All I can think of is getting my money back and putting it into my project car.
