You might struggle getting an MOT with corrosion near the sill rears due to their proximity to the rear suspension locating points. Not a difficult job to cut out and repair though.

Fantastic pace to this work, the results look amazing. Good effort!

Wanted:Any Corrado Storm OR 1.8 16v in corrado red colour
LancasterStorm replied to Smallville's topic in Wanted
I have a mystic blue storm I might sell as I just don't use it enough. Pm me if interested. Totally original apart from stereo. 135k with history to back up the mileage. NW England. -
Mine has the same problem, the sunroof tilts and slides perfectly. Only issue was when I tilted the sunroom the material blind/cover did not lift up. It just flapped up and down depending on the speed. A little silver crank shaped silver part had sheared off and was stuck in the slide rail, fortunately it never jammed and damaged the mechanism. Nobody had a part as its attached to the whole rail. Solution... Bought a full sunroof assy.

If your friends with anybody who works at Halfords, there's a 25% off friends and family discount till the 27th of April, hurry now! I've just got 8 litres (2 4ltr tubs) of Castol magnatec 10w40 for the VR6 Corrado for £45. If your not friends then it's time to hang around Halfords at closing time and give anybody passing in a black and orange polo shirt a damn good wooing... It's 25% of most things not just oil.

It's amazing once you buy one how many you see, I'd not seen another Corrado round Lancaster for years, turns out there's about 4 I see regularly now. Maybe I just wasn't looking properly! Unfortunately there's a blue none storm tearing about round Lancaster a night time "cruising" and drag racing round the one way system. I think people think it's me when I drive through as I get boy racers wanting to have a go. Fortunately I'm above all that! :smug:

Looks like a proper jobs being done!

Nice Corrado in white, I see your not too far from me either, I just live over the boarder on the nicer Lancashire side! (I'm also on a one man mission to rekindle the war of the roses if you hadn't already realised. lol) if a localish run is organised I'll try to join too. My Vr6 is a 1995, whilst still a newbi myself I've heard the later vr6 engines had a modified timing chain arrangement and not quite as prone to failures. Mine has 134k on the clock and the chains sound fine. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with yours. I'm just going to monitor my chains with regards to rattle, change my oil every 3 to 5k and only change them when I feel they start rattling!

Hi, has anybody got a Spare boot popper for a Corrado? It's the bit that raises the boot a tad when you press the button. It fits to the left of the catch on the bottom of the boot lid. It's official name may be a boot actuator. But basically is a spring with some plastic bits attached. Thanks Paul.

Thanks, that's my last option. Looking for the original one if possible.

Anybody got a spare boot popper? It's the little plunger that goes in the bottom of the boot lid and lifts the boot slightly when you press the boot release button.

Noticed your location is showing Sweden, Storms were UK only I think.

The Storm was a limited run towards the end of the life of the Corrado. 250 in blue and 250 in green mostly manual boxes, all came with heated leather and a different stereo plus some different alloys and a colour coded grill, there are some fakes out there too especially in Green, they were not allocated serial build numbers. I bought my Corrado not because it's a Storm, but bacause I knew the owner and I really like it, had it been the standard VR6 I would have bought it anyway. In fact to an extent I wish mine was not a Storm, since owning it I'm thinking.... 16" alloys and a 35mm lowering kit, clear rear lights all look nice Mmmmmm, then I keep thinking I must keep it standard. really having a dilema at the moment. Had mine been a standard VR6 then it would be happening. VR6 Storms are really nice, but IMHO don't get caught up in it all. There are equally nice if not better spec Corrados out there.

I hope they don't build another Corrado, I like the fact it came and went, plus if they build another we'd all have to buy it so we have an old vs new on the drive. Is it me but does the picture just look like an Astra coupe mixed with the new civic plus a vw badge on the grill?

Thanks for the tip, hard work from an iPhone! I'll use my laptop next time.

How do I add pictures? There it is my first typical newbie post.

Well I picked up my new ( to me) Corrado today, mystic blue storm, done 30 miles tonight and I have to say that noise is going to cost me points on my license! I'm the third owner and it came with every bit of paperwork from new. Every mot, bill tax disc etc. 136k and apart from the radio totally original. A credit to the previous keeper. No doubt I'll be asking the normal newbie questions so bear with me. One thing that attracted me to the car was this forum, such a wealth of info from like minded owners. Looking forward to a few meets too. Based in Lancaster in the north west.

Nah it's mystic blue, normally head to south lakes around Coniston area.

Hi Jonny, just like yourself I'm new to this whole Corrado forum, all being well I collect my first Corrado next Friday. I head up to the lakes most summer weekends too!
