Just bought these from a guy on the PVW site, just had a total refurb, been Painted in a graphite colour, which i think looks quite cool, wont really know if the colour suits my rado untill i recieve them, although i think i may get them mirror polished in the long term!! Only £300 for a set, well chuffed!! wanted a set of these for bloody ages!!

I have just got hold of a set of 8mm spacers for my corrado, to try and combat the rubbing i am getting on the front inner arches, the spacers fit ok, but the wheel bolts are now too short... can anyone reccomend anywhere that can supply me with a set of alloy wheel bolts that are approx 10mm longer than standard?? Cheers

oh i see... good thinking, we all need an extra set of wheels for winter :)

snap! Your Car looks very similar to mine now, how come you changed to RXs didnt you have Rcs?? :)
-
thinking about it you might aswell just spend the £1500 odd and get a g-werks big valve all singing all dancing 8v cnc cylinder head, surely that would give similar power figures to a 16v g60??

Finally managed to get round to spraying up my delocked passat handles and fit them to car today! Not bad considering they only cost £10 for 2 handles and the mechs!! Look so much better i think!

. thats why i dont like taking my cars to most bodyshops they hardly ever do exactly as you want unless your willing to pay mega bucks !! atleast if you do it yourself it will only cost you the paint etc and then theres all the prep work.... thinking about doing my bay next year maybe and will probably do that myself aswell i am starting to get a little handy with a spray gun now :) -

you gonna paint the bay your self ben? -
with the mods you already have i would probably go for the reds and an sns chip or even a custom map?? this would make the most of your mods, if your not really bothered about more performance go for the oil cooler very worth while, but like a few others have said can be a pain to fit! The blanking plate stops warm air going back into the charger therefore you only get cold air coming through from the airbox, there is also a filter that goes onto the isv etc etc , you will also have the whoosh sound every time you let of the throttle... 8)

what sort of power can you achieve with these kits darren? May be just the sort of thing i am looking for! for a little project i may undertake :)
-
no it was a 1/8npt tap, if you look carefully on ebay you can get hold of a very cheap tap and die set for like £5 which includes the tap you need!

Just thought i would post a quick pic of my jet for my water injection, will follow up shortly with pics of the complete setup as it is all complete and running now! :)
-
Well its all fitted now, i have the jet located just before the throttle body, i have a 70/30 water/methanol mix with the water tank cable tied in the boot  wont stay like that for long... i ve got to make up some brackets for that and my oil cooler which is also supported by cable ties at the mo.... 8) as far as i can tell the car does feel a little better but i cant really judge on this untill summer comes around and after the car has had it final mapping session done but atleast it isnt bogging down or anything!!

Woohoo! Got my car into The Golf Magazine!! ok so it was the text my ride section on page 10 of the march edition but its a start... 8) Forgot to put my name in the caption

I have just got a spare set of ming mirrors for the car so i can smooth my ones. Want i want to know is how do i take out the mirror glass? does it just pop out? Cheers
-
pic : Daz if you can make this out what i am trying to get across is that should this water pump toothed pulley be inline with the crankshaft toothed pulley?
-
its ok now, i was just being paranoid i think, i have run it for a while now and all the oil has finished coming out of the air system, albeit all over the manifold again making it look like my car was on fire! 8) Also darren i ve got an pic to show you with regards to the toothed belt setup! i have alligned everything and i have now noticed that the toothed pulley on the water pump is not in line with the rest of the pulleys it seems to be out by 3mm or so, as it is i can take the pulley of and machine it out at work to get it all alligned, i have a pic to show you exactly what i mean.

just a quick question? how much oil should i have in the intake system? oil still seems to be pissing out?? not sure if this is old that was in there when the seal went or if its still fecked and pissing oil??
-
yeah the seal had completely come out of its position! Was quite shocked really that something like that can happen! Just glad it didnt do any damage :) Got my oil cooler kit whilst up there and a few spare belts aswell! Cant really thank G-werks / Darren enough for stripping it down again without charge! Only up the road from me aswell which was very handy! Thanks again!

All Sorted!! Thanks For your help at short notice Darren!!
-
cool i will take it off in the morning and hopefully try and be at yours for 10 ish! Cheers
-
i will take it off and bring it down to you tommorow, is it likely i can wait whilst you sort it??
