heres my settings mate - works a treat. Should be the same for you i would have thought
-
i think hes using ms2? his map is on the previous page i think not sure if its his most recent though. I took mine out on its first proper outing today - the car is a power house!!! :D i cannot stop grinning!
-
how much throttle was you giving it when you were trying to start it? i found on mine it was a bit dodgy when using the pedal so i wound the throttle screw out til the tps said about 18 percent. made things a bit more consistent. im not sure if the g60s have a throttle screw though. Out of curiosity did you wire your isv up to MS

whoops i do apologise! think last nights drinks have been taking their toll on my eyes.ill have a proper look now

had a quick look at the logs, it seems that you dont get any warmup enrichment or afterstart enrichment after cranking. upon closer inspection your coolant temp ranges from 98 degress onwards (have you calibrated your coolant sensor? or had the car just been out on a run and is hot?) If you havent calibrated it that is why you arent getting the enrichments you need as MS thinks your engine is already hot and in turn wont apply the enrichments to keep the engine going. If you have calibrated the coolant temp and the car is that hot then your pulsewidths are very high for a hot start (should be around the 3 or 4 mark - or about 23 percent of your req fuel value) i have some numbers for the g60 coolant sensor 0 deg c = 6000 ohms 25 deg c = 2000 ohms 100 deg c = 200 ohms

i havent had any problems with the paint really, i did my grille in the same stuff. however i did use clear plastic primer so that may of helped
-
to save doing that why dont you just use the flood clear mode? as long as your throttle is past the percentage you specify it wont inject any fuel. Look forward to seeing the log. By the way do you have wideband? When you get it running it will make things easier
-
nah mate u carry on were all here to help each other after all! you are making some god progress.what figures do you have for afterstart enrichment? Was it definatly flooded? EDIT: did u get a log?
-
could have done that but i wanted a matt finish and i also wanted to cover the edges as seen in the first pic. i used halfords plastic bumper spray
-
took a bit of time but now i got the car running again i thought i may aswell finish off the lights n wack them on. a before pic with the old cracked light ( these havent been sprayed) here are the new set that have had the edges and surrounds de blinged! what do you think
-
id get looking downt the plaug hole with a torch and try to get a better look.if it looks ok try and put it back in slowly hand tight. Didnt really get much done today to be honest about half hour after my mate came it started to rain n the wheels were just spinning. Felt proper good though - the way the turbo comes in is awesome
-
how did you manage that mate? i heard that a helicoil can be used but i dont really have any knowledge about it.
-
new vid added! :D
-
me and my mate just went out in it.det cans did their job! only went round the block a few times and found a lilttle bit of pinking on light throttle but thats been ironed out. gave it a little bit of beans to see if it pinked at higher revs and thank god it didnt. Im amazed at how powerful it is though, didnt expect it to be that fast!!! It didnt want to start after without throttle so i expect i need to adjust my hot afterstart enrichment.

lol well they are almost done, will put pics up on friday as i will be on the lash tommorow night hehe.i think ill me and my mate will take it in turns to wear them.ill post some pics of it too
-
i think im pulling up to 5v using a 1k ohm resistor.hope this helps! got all the parts together tonight to make some det cans 8) if it goes well ill post some pics up
-
yea i earthed everything to the same point. theres a little earth point just behind the battery, thats where i stuck mine.
-
i see i had a similar problem, used some sheiled cable from maplins n my troubles dissapeared. i know ive stil got a way to go but im almost there n its about time!
-
cheers for the advice dave will definatly look into that! hows yours coming along dirty torque?
-
Cheers dave! i went on it tonight to try and get the rev counter working, found out its the red/black wire not green . Started it up for the hell of it. let it warm up n gave it a few revs VRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOM TSSHHH aahhh dont you just love the sound of a dump valve! Just hearing that has put the biggest smile on my face. Tommorow if my mate is free we are going to map it on some quiet hills and roads. To think this time last week i was contemplating giving up, im sooooooo glad i didnt    :D
-
yea i d double check the wiring to rule that out. The behaviour you are getting on the stim is correct. When you first turn on ms the pump will run on for two seconds and if it doesnt see an rpm signal it shuts of the fuel pump until it sees rpm again. Have a look at your warmup enrichments you may need a bit more at certain temperatures . You could even try increasing the cranking pulswidths. Stick to one thing at a time though or you will go off track
-
kick back is when your ignition is too advanced whilst cranking. The fuel will ignite before the piston reaches tdc making the engine want to turn the worng way.It makes the starter work extremly hard and it can even break. You will know what i mean if it ever happens to you. It happened to me when my ignition was set to rising edge
-
map looks decent. in your ignition settings i would change your ignition capture too falling edge if you get a kickback whilst starting. had to do this on mine as ms inverts the signal it gets. Also you may need some afterstart enrichment if the engine starts but dies straight away. Try the defaults in the mega manual as a start. You have your prime pulse set to 0 ms id set it to 2 just to clear any air in the fuel system
-
looks promising! battery is deffo flat though you only reached a cranking speed of 135. what is your cranking rpm set to in megatune? do you have your msq handy?
-
still not working.will have to look that up. im using logviwer version 2.901
