Right i ve been offered a 2L 9a engine. I can buy it complete or just the bottom end...whats the difference between the two heads....is it just the cams or is there more to it than that...?? Need to know as i could save myself swaping the heads Cheers

I am buying a stainless steel mainfold this weekend for my 1.8 kr C just wondering if or when i get a 2L will the stainless mainfold still go on with height differances etc....?? Looking to buy a 2L which on is best ......how like to keep the revs

beavis, My C Sits well high and thats on standard springs does that mean there new ones..... :lol: :lol: Relpacing soon going down 35mm :) As it bonces a bit around the bends at high speeds thinks the shocks are going well its done 130k and no clue of the S&S being changed

I have killed my thread in the oil housing were the oil pressure switch goes any ideas on weather a Seat 16v one will fit my Corrado 16v ...??? Both 1.8. The seat one has 3 places for pressure switches one of which is blocked with a alen key bolt..... They look the same and have the alen bolts in the same places

BOLLOX F-ing BOLLOX The T-piece they sent me had a angled thread on the male part going in to the place of the normal sender. I fitted it and all was well but it leaked a bit. So got my self a washer and put it back together because of the thread it didn't have enough contact and riped out my thread :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: NOW I AM PISSED :mad: Does anyone know how easy it is to replace this bit on the 16v's its an aluminium part that holds the oil filter on can see one alen key at the top but can't see how to get to the others...?? Did see a Seat in the Scrapy that was a 16v but had three spaces for senders.....if i get this can i get rid of the t-piece...??

Scott, My car's got wind up windows at the mo got the elecy in my front roon at the mo will be fitted soon. I didn't want to run shed loads of cables around the car so have the switchs there means i don't need two switchs on my drivers door just 2 cables in to the doors. Also in the early C the switchs are in a pants place 8) I ve got some gromets to go into the doors like on the golf mark 2's

Henny, They where about £4.50 for each i got 2 so including P+P about 13 pounds There web site tells you the price Its the T-piece with VW as part of the code for the part

I Need a T-Piece for my oil pressure gauge (VDO sender) Phoned Demon Tweaks but they said they didn't have what i needed Anyone know of were i can grab one its for my 16v C

VR6, phat rado, So i can put Mark 3 Gti calipers on my 16 v hubs and my G60 discs will fit in...?? Does it have to be a Gti mark 3 16v...?? or 8v...?? If theres a differance And what pads would i need to buy..?? Cheers

Scott, Would like to strip it down first make it look brand new and replace all the pision rings etc but there well expensive well they are for a 1.8 last time i looked....... :( I need to recondition my head too but will pay somw one to do that.

aposegil, Heared of some one putting a exhuast cam in they said it was a good mod for a 2 L Going to get a price soon for the bottom end from my local vw breakers. Can you buy kits that have all the new big end bearing and pision ring in ....etc Would like to know the engine won't die after 100 miles of fitting it !!

aposegil, Any chance of getting the number for the bloke that did the work...??? :) Did you put the exhuast cam in too...??
