  1. Yeah I sold the lm reps a while back. And the cars is now sold as of tonight. Deposit taken. Will I regret it. I have no doubt in my mind I will. Would I buy another corrado? 100% yes. I fell in love with that car. I have owned over 60'motors and have only had an attachment too two or three. And this is defiantly one of them. The grin factor from the vr6 is brilliant. The appreciation by people for the car is fantastic. And to drive around in a motor that is rarely seen is cool in its own right. So a close to this chapter. It's been short but bloody fun while it lasted.

  3. It's passed its mot today. I think it is time to sell. I love the car I really do. But this merc itch is strong. But more than likely I'll end up using the money towards the house deposit. I think this is going to be a something I'm going to regret doing

  6. Not much being done at the moment. Managed to get it running lovely after the irratic idle and cutting out problem. And managed to refit some of the interior panels correctly. And also painted my headlight innards black. Bit of satin black paint that I used to paint my front door on the house and it's looking great. Just need to source some yellow filters for the main beam from a lexus to finish the look. Had a few good offers to sell it, but just can not bring myself to do it yet. Really starting to get the whole love for these cars that I read about. Waiting on my 288mm brakes to turn up then it's mot time. Let's see how she fairs on that one

  8. Beginning to think these things ain't as rare on our roads as first thought. Corrado valver I think parked a few buildings from mine near montys cafe in rugby
  9. Found the fault/faults. Found a small fuel leak from the injector rail fuel pipe connection, maf plug had pulled out and new pattern isv valve is in fact faulty. Running fine now
  10. I have had the same issue over the last few days and I have finally found a resolve to it. Like you I cleaned out the idle control and in the end replaced it with a patten part. Now the issue still arouse with hunting at sort of idle to boot. Now cleaned the isv again and still the same issue as well as a strong smell of fuel. Popped the bonnet up and found a fuel leak from the joint to the injector rail, but concerning as it was dropping fuel on the alternator . Replaced the fuel clamp and also found the afm plug had come out or I had left it unplugged. So re connected that and run fine but still hunting, replaced the new pattern isv with the cleaned Bosch one and boom. Running superb idles perfect, no smell of fuel and starts and idle fine and doesn't cut out. The cutting out on start up I put down to the maf un plugged and the fuel line draing itself of fuel in the line. The dodgey idle down to the fuel line drawing air and the new idle control valve
  11. Thing is, there's not a lot to go wrong with them. And the Bosch units are pretty robust. Also fitting a brand new patten one should be a fix. But as you point out it could be faulty. Need to track down a good one, as there is no way I'm paying £300 for a new Bosch one. My bank account doesn't match Elton johns.
  12. Having a issue with my vr6. Had a problem with revs hunting and some times it would cut out after giving it some beans then coming to a stop. Cleaned out the isv and it did cure it for a short while. How ever when starting it now it will run for a few seconds as soon as the revs settle to idle it will cut out, unless you get back on the throttle and will run fine unless you back off the throttle and it will cut out. How ever after 5 minutes of driving it will pretty much rectify itself. And will idle fine, sometimes it will struggle. Now I have fitted a new pattern idle control valve and it would start, then cut out, start and cut out then start and idle correctly. That was yesterday. This morning it started and cut out again every time it came to idle until again 5-10 mins later and the idle would improve. I have taken off the new valve, clean again the old one and checked the valve opens freely and it does fine. Came to try it and still the same. The new idle control was hunting for revs slightly on idle were the old one didn't seem too. Coolant level is at max. And no airleaks that I can find. Am I right to consider the coolant sensor could be at fault? If it was a immobiliser issue it would surely cut out even if I gave it some revs before cutting out. Any ideas?
