picked up the wheels for it just need to change the tyres as they are cracking a bit in places thankfully they are in very good condition after 20 years no curb rash

And yeah buying a car for more money you don't 100% know for sure its not going to have the same problems and at least you know what you have done and it's been done over time so the cost is not as bad as its over time not one big lump sum

With cars of the age these are at now fixing things is part of the fun of owning them and if they don't get fixed they will just rot away and be broken up for parts and that's a shame but it will only make the cars harder to get and making prices go up

Sometimes dogs are worth a look to bring them back to life and fixing the car will be enjoyable

i had a mk1 with a 1.8 16v on carbs running around 160bhp some years ago it was great fun to drive but the sportline being the heavy cab won't feel as sporty or sound as nice as a vr6
