  1. well, the guy i bought it off has not replied for a few days now, he has to raise a claim! i paid by paypal goods, but i really dont want to set a claim up on his behalf, but i cant do anything as he booked the pallet.
  2. well the plastic cellophane on top of the engine was soaked in oil!! how else would it get there?
  3. the straps looked ok, engine was sitting exhaust manifolds down on the pallet, but absolutely soaked in oil on the top (oil cooler side), protecting tyres filled to the brim in oil!! its clearly had impact damage.
  4. i am seriously ****ed off! insurance will cover him, just waiting to hear back from him. i have not got the money to pay for new bits!
  5. here are some of the pictures of the corrado vr6 engine to go in my smokey golf, first of all i am not blaming the guy that sent it so please dont think i am aiming this at him, but obviously i didn't book it so i need to chase him up on a claim with the courier company, why on earth should i pay for these new parts? i am friggin peed off to say the least, the cellophane packaging on the top of the engine was soaked to the brim in oil also. have a look here guys at the pictures how its been treated, i put red text in the pictures which is kind of hard to read, so put the text above the pictures! ive not had a proper chance to look for more damage, the coilpack was on it, now its missing as is all the history of the engine, reciepts of new parts etc....! :mad2: other side of pallet damaged pallet smashed in places, maybe dropped. coilpack now missing, coilpack bolts badly bent. engine covered heavily in oil, this is the engine on its back, no oil would leak out this way, engine was emptied prior to putting it on a pallet, you can see the oil sensors are bent backwards, hence i believe another engine was put on-top of it, cellophane packaging was soaked in engine oil. alternator cracked and bolt slightly bent / wiggly now, dipstick bent heavily, again something heavy like an engine has been put on-top of this. my other spare vr6 engine, this is how the dipstick should be, not like the one on the damaged engine. protecting tyres full to the brim in engine oil, im guessing another engine has been sitting on-top of this, as alternator, dipstick and sensors are damaged. top rocker cover plastics now broken. engine side plastics broken on corner.
  6. my 1992 golf vr6 is badly need of some restoration to the sills, arches, rear quarter panel, floorpan and other parts, ideally i want to get it done before its MOT in june. So i am looking for a welder / restorer around the bromley in kent / M25 junction 4 area? went to see a chap 2 weeks ago, the painting and welding i see looked fantastic but have had no correspondence back yet, I don't want to leave it any longer and there is no way its going to get through the MOT! passenger arch practically fell off when i took the bodykit off the other day! i have all the panels needed and will pay for a good job
  7. sold to me! cant wait to get it fitted
  8. do these fit the golf vr6? banjo fitment?
  9. as title, cant quiet afford the £350 from stealth racing for them new at the moment! for vr6 golf / corrado
  10. yes im in talks with him and am going to buy it. when i done the chains on my 2.8 i used febi and the car gets abused hard!
  11. he wants £450 delivered, but as you said about being comfortable paying that price as i cant see the engine running, my vr6 is smoking, if i would see it running obviously i would be much more comfortable but he is the other end of the country to me.
  12. this is the work done, it was done in december 2014, but the gentleman is going down the R32 engine route, yes i would like to see receipts so will await some pictures, he is a member on here :-) -

    Engine number

the VR6 engine number will either be on the auxillery tensioner side just below the headgasket where my finger is or it will be on the gearbox side just below the hydraulic tensioner where my finger is, you may need to wipe the old oil and dirt off - it will start AAA or ABV :p:p
  17. thank dude, but i will leave the engine on that respect, very high mileage for me unfortunately!
  18. hi chaps for my poory golf vr6, im located in west wickham in kent! im after a corrado 2.9 abv engine to stick inside her, with chains done and possibly a head and engine rebuild with proof! :smug: i can be found on the golf vr6 owners club with the same username and i have been on there for years
