Still got the alloys from my last one, so they will be going on for the summer. Need to lower it first, but can't justify spending £600 on coilovers at the moment. May just get some lowering springs for the time being. Always preferred the standard look i.e. OSV, so apart from that i'll keep it as it is.

Got some alloys which are kerbed, but don't think they require a full refurb as the centres are untouched. Can the rim of the wheel be repaired/polished only, if so anyone recommend somewhere in or around nottingham. Have attached a picture of the damage, also any idea on price.

Was in the same position six months ago, decided the only direct replacement was a 350Z. Problem was i couldn't afford one so settled for a 330 BMW, which i have found a bit safe and not very involving. It's ideal as a daily driver, but i only use the cars at weekends for fun. Looking to trade it in at the moment for an s2000 as the nissan is still out of reach, also just brought another corrado VR6.

Stan, Been keeping an eye out for another one almost since i sold the last one. Girlfriend and mates don't get why i like them so much, but each to there own. Dave, Thanks for that, but scott's mate has it and it a good excuse to have a look at his car. Have put the golf up for sale and will use some of the money to have the car lowered as i stil have the alloys from the last one to go on. Also cleaned the elec mirror switch, so they work now.

It is clean for 108k, alloys must have been refurbed and very few stone chips as well. Ran a bit rough when cold, but he had tried to jet wash the engine. Only fault i could find was the elec mirrors didn't work, but have a look at them when i get back. Do you know anywhere locally that has vag-com apart from dealers, may try C&R at bulwell. Where in nottingham are you based?

Decided the bmw's not for me, can't explain it really. Can not fault the car quick, smooth, well-built, but abit lazy to drive. Biggest problem for me is the triptronic change, just don't feel involved. Must be me as alot of higher performance cars have it such as porsches. Anyone else feel the same? Everyone thinks im mad to think of selling it. To be honest i have as much, if not more fun in the golf round the lanes where i live. Would be different if i used it as an everyday car possibly, but it only get used at weekend. Anyway brought this yesterday, couldn't say no when i saw it. One owner and the cleanest one i've seen in a while. If i do sell the bmw and don't put the money into the house, may look at the civic type r. Anyone owned one? Can't wait to pick the corrado up tomorrow, plus the hours drive home.

what do you want for £700, cheapest one nationwide on autotrader is £1700. If it was close to me i'd have a look, even to break it.

brought some wheels for the golf off E38, collected and fitted them in the rain tonight. Missing the corrado as well. Saw three on the way home the other night, seem to be everywhere since i sold mine. Finding the auto in the bmw strange as it's the first one i've owned.

Sold the car a couple of months ago to a guy off E38, so have been searching for something since. Decided the ideal replacement was a nissan 350z, but out of my price range. Started searching locally for something made a list of four cars and just a case of which came up first. look at about a dozen cars, then on monday found this.

Feel the same about the rim's, but would cost more than the car to replace with what i would want. Also with the girlfriend learning in it, it's become friendly with the kerb.
  17. Excellent colour, what do you have planned for it?

Local agent for chips away did the dink's, was about forty pounds for a couple in the drivers door. Corrado only been out the garage once since the golf was brought, that was to fit new fog's and indicators. Now the headlights look worse. Was going to stanford hall in the corrado, but it's the 30th anniversary of the golf gti. So should take that really, will have to decide nearer the time.

Brought this for the girlfriend to learn to drive in, said the corrado's to long and can't see over the bonnet.
  22. Amazing car with a great spec. Spurred me into putting my 17s back on.
  23. Been to view the S2000 this afternoon which i put the deposit on. Car looked ok, not yet prepared for sale valeted etc. Have a few concerns about the car. 1. Honda servicing is 9000miles/12 months, the car is an 2000X with 28k. Because of the low mileage it has been serviced every 18 months on average. 2. Cheap tyres fitted to the car, which is the first thing i look at on a car to see how it has been maintained. 3. When off throttle and slowing down, there apppears to be excessive noise from the rear of the car. As if the exhaust is vibrating or the diff is whining. Sales men gave it "they all do it line". Dont recall the other one i went in doing it. Sales man said come back thursday next week when it has been through the work shop and valeted. But beginning to have my doubts about the car. What do you all think, will view more examples this weekend to compare.
  24. Summed the 944 up perfect NickVR6. great build and handling, felt special when driving it. Turbo version a must performance wise. Sold mine because it felt slow, also it was a show car. Only 60k with 2 lady owners, and the most history i've ever seen with a car. Sold it to a chap in his 50's who would give it the care it deserved.
