Seems to happen occasionally when braking from speeds Dont have any engine problems (that I am aware of!). Car is running very well for a 10yr old 101k miler. thanks guys. :)

Dont know how to explain this properly, but here goes...... Had my 1994 VR6 for 8 weeks now, its done just over 101k miles. The previous owner told me he had the pads & discs changed 7k miles ago although had no receipts to prove. Recently the brakes have 'fought back' on a few occasions when attempting to slow down. What I mean by this is when depressing the brake pedal I feel as if there is a large stone between the pads & the discs & the brakes are not really taking effect. Its as if the pedal wont depress any more. It only seems to happen every few days but its strange, & worrying (OBVIOUSLY!). A visual examination of the pads & discs seems okay, & the discs are not overly worn & are not scored. Any ideas / similar experiences???????? Thanks in advance. :?: :?

To keep in line with the rozzerz, the numbers have to be the correct height, width, & have the correct spacing between them. And 11mm of space to the edge of the plate itself. Check the DVLA site if you are concerned! HTH :)

I had this a few weeks ago on my '94 VR6. Vibrated like mad going from 30-40mph & again downward from 40-30mph. Turned out to be the geometry. £35 later it was fixed & now drives like a new car. Worth a try. HTH :idea:

As the new MacDonalds ad's say... "I'm lovin it!" :D :D Apart from a good few washes, & polishing, all I have done is fit new ICE. Getting the bonnet & wings done when I have money (remember the "wave" across the bonnet?) Then new discs & pads. So, yeah I am enjoying C ownership. Amazing how it turns heads! Stu

A guy at my work mentioned a place near Strathaven that does brake/suspension upgrades & also sells all the usual bits & bobs for cars. He couldnt give me any other details about location!!!!!!!! ! Anyone know the place he is talking about???? Thanks.
