    I use Castrol TAF-X. It's made for VW gearboxes, it isn't cheap though!

  4. Definately a mk3, definately a VR6. I am assuming it is a similar spec to a UK Highline too as it is a late model with air-con and leather so it should have the better engine management too. I have heared of lots of highlines giving 190bhp. I will phone later about it, was hoping to sort a part exchange but if he only deals in standard cars..................................................................... Cheers, Rob.
  5. As some of you may know, I have been thinking of selling my G60 and buying something more practical for a while now. Volkswizard are selling an S reg South African import VR6 with 39k for £7400. Has anyone had any dealings with this company in the past or heared anything about them. Also, what's the deal with an import such as this? Should the price be lower or does the rarity make it worth more? Thanks in advance, Rob.
  6. The most straightforward swop is finding one from a mk2 Golf G60 , this is what I have done but they are very rare and can cost a fortune. They drop in fairly easilly though. As for the best, I'm sure some of the more technically minded members will be able to help you there. What ever you do I think you really need to open up the bumper to allow more airflow or you are just wasting time and money. Cheers, Rob
  7. When I removed mine the car felt slightly more responsive. I refitted the gauze filter and the rubber elbow afterwards with new jubilee clips but still managed to blow the gauze out during a gearchange! I liked the blow off sound but couldn't live with the other noises and the oil mist everywhere due to the lack of a catchtank. I have since refitted the return pipes but when this mod is properly sorted I think I will be trying it again.
  8. Darren, Have you got anywhere with the kits to remove the return pipe but keep noise levels down yet?
  9. Just a lot of funny noises I found! I didn't notice any performance gains so I refitted everything after about a week.

  11. I forgot the Autometer boost gauge, LOL. Oh well, I might have to keep it after all then, there's no way I would let it go for a stupidly low price anyway, I'm not that desperate to sell it. I think I might put it up for a strong price and wait for the right buyer to come along. The only problem is, the longer I own it, the more I will mod it! Cheers guys, Rob.

  14. I am seriously considering selling my G60 as I really need something bigger but am not sure how much it is worth, has anyone got an idea? It is a 92 facelifted G60 in Green Pearl with 92000 miles on the clock and a full service history (VW & TSR) The bodywork is standard and in very good condition and the grey interior is also standard and is mint.   15. I'm getting my Goodyear F1's fitted on Friday and also a 4 wheel alignment done. My question is, I have the car set quite low on Koni coilovers. What are the best suspension geometry settings? Should I just get them to set it up as VW reccomend or are there any better settings for handeling, grip etc? Ideally I want to keep it set for good tyre wear too. Thanks in advance, Rob.
  16. I just wondered how the people who have done this mod are getting on with it? I have since refitted the boost return having got tired of cleaning oil from the rocker cover and the underside of the bonnet everyday and the bloody noise drove me mad too. I will probably wait and see what Bilal and Darren come up with, I know both have things in the pipeline. Cheers, Rob.

  20. I thought 14.5 was the max psi as the ISV vents anything above this?
