I'll check that cos I recently changed the bulbs in the rear clusters (couple of weeks ago) so that sounds like it could be the problem
-
Is that right? Well bugger me! I'll check them all then
-
Nope. Normal bulbs all round. side repeater bulbs are fine I've only checked the bulbs on the side that is indicating quickly. only does it on the nearside indicators.... :?
-
Probably being a complete muppet here, but can some tell me why my indicator has suddenly starting indicating at twice its normal rate. All bulbs are working fine. Could it be the relay?
-
Sounds like the injectors are fooked to me. If you are getting spark and fuel to the FPR ok. I'd wait and see what the outcome of swapping the injectors over is....

Bonjour... Love the directory idea, c'est un bon idea! 8)

Can't believe I paid someone to take my de-cat pipe off for the MOT, and re-fit the CAT BADLY! Re-fitted the de-cat pipe myself, using only one axle stand under the offside wishbone and it was dead easy, and now my exhaust isn't catching various parts of the chassis....if you wanta job doing well do it yourself rings true!! ...........mmmm no rattles!

Tell me, I'm willing to learn......

Cheers dude :D

   By 100% I mean 100% of the maximum a given jet could provide.

Fair play dude! Looking good! 8)

Has no-one taken out their VR dashboard??? Someone must have.....

Right, gonna have a go at doing my own NOS injection setup  , and need some advice. I need to find a supplier of high pressure solenoids, that aren't ridiculously expensive. The only ones I've found are the pulsoids, but at £145 each they are stoopid money. If I can get something that would do the same job for £25-50 that'd be great. Any advice from the guys on here with nitrous would be much appreciated :?: :?: Going to use an extra injector for the additional fuelling, and as car has knock sensing on it that should work for the retarding of timing. I think the controller should be relatively simple to build and code, using a PIC with two PWM outputs to control both the extra injector (or maybe a second solenoid - not sure yet) and the NOS solenoid, and then a potentiometer on the throttlebody or use a throttle position sensor, as the trigger for the system to operate. I think that it should not inject anything until at least 50% throttle and then and inject maximum at 100% throttle i.e. 50% throttle equals 0% NOS, 100% throttle equals 100% NOS. (75% throttle equals 50% NOS etc).

Anyone?? Help :(

If any of you have removed their dash from their VR, was there a retaining bracket at the bottom of the dsh that mounts onto the centre tunnel???
-
Yeah, do it!! The only issue I could see is if you weren't using the complete R32 wiring loom. I would imagine that the DSG box would have its own electronic controller, that would be a node on a CAN(data) network, and it would need to 'see' the engine ECU and instrament cluster as nodes, for it to work. (educated guess of course)
-
'Retainer' sounds like the right part, but does that mean the late dashboards didn't use one? They don't mount to the heater box in any way?
-
I'm trying to source the bottom mounting bracket for a late dash (see wanted ad) But if someone can give me the part number so I can get a price from the stealer. As a guide to which bit I'm after the early bracket part number is 536 858 237 (so you know which bit I'm after) Cheers

I run 9 x 16 borbet A's, running the same tyres, but mine are ET15. Arches are rolled on the rear, and very rarely catch on the arches. The only issue you may have with ET25 is the wheels fouling on the suspension???
-
Bloody good work, I like it, but the bonnet and choice of colour isn't to my taste
-
I also have the similar clunk. Has been gradually getting louder too. My front wheel bearings need doing, so I might get the top mounts changed at the same time, as it has recently had new ARB drop links, and bottom ball joints. Doesn't seem to affect the handling though.... :?

JSB Racing Shiftlight kit - Pre-order for next batch
mrbeige replied to mrbeige's topic in Suppliers Forum
Right, hardware is done for the prototype, just finishing off the software. I need three testers for this, and would like them to be people able to use it at the pending Castle Combe track day. Who's up for it? -
That sounds awesome! 8)

Gonna do similar to the Omex one - green, green, yellow, red.
