  1. You get them on German eBay and the Greek lad in our eBay at times. No change out of £90 nowadays
  2. Thanks a lot and sad seeing it go as it was a minter looking good for its years. I like doing the small updates as it follows the journey of a car even when it is small things.
  3. Thanks Robin. Yes for the full asking price.
  4. Car sold to the first viewer. Thanks for the interest
  5. I will do and distance is always a pain but all 5 of my classic VWs have been in England and 4 flights and 1 train sorted it out.
  6. I'm just outside Edinburgh and there is someone coming to see it at 1400. Thanks for the kind comments and the car is a cracker.
  7. Hi It's not a storm they were only in blue or green. I'm up in Scotland Thanks
  8. Fortunately I don't need to sell for any reason so it's £7k or no sale. It's well worth it in my opinion as its in superb condition and no spends required for the new owner but if it doesn't sell then it will hibernate in its heated garage next to the R32.
  9. Thanks Robin. Got someone coming tomorrow and 2 others interested as well. Mixed emotions though as I'm not trying to sell for any reason ???

Fully detailed and ceramic coated by Dominion Detailing. Full top spec Autowatch alarm just fitted. Brand new Bilstein b12 suspension incl all associated components. New braking system including calipers, carriers, discs, pads, shields, abs sensors all round and handbrake cables. Full custom stainless decat exhaust system just fitted, sounds and looks superb. Refurbed steering wheel, new original gearknob, gaiter and OEM replacement speakers. New toyo proxes on immaculate anthracite 17" Santa Monica's, new bolts, bolt covers, centre caps and valve covers and caps. Full leather interior with matching door cards which include the rate and not cheap Audioscape extended speaker pods, blue tinted replacement wing mirror glass, Heko wind deflectors and new original Corrado carpet mats. Metal pressed number plates with J40 VRG private plate, which will stay with the car. New number plate lights incl stainless screws and also incl LEDs. Interior LED lights and LED boot light. Original headlight protectors and darkened rear lights. Stainless steel petrol tank straps. All badges now black as well as the calipers and carriers to suit the grey and black theme. Included in sale is newly refurbished mint original Speedline alloys, mint original black cloth interior incl door cards, original rubber mats, spare set of new original Corrado mats, original rear lights, new brake bias valve and fixings, short shifter, full set of silver badges all round, spare grill currently getting painted body colour for swapping. Sunroof works both slide and tilt but I never touch it and active spoiler works perfectly, only 2 things need fixing if you want or need to and they are the passenger window only goes half way down but I have a new regulator ready to be fitted and the heater direction is stuck on vents but I have got new Bowden cables as well. I've not bothered fixing them as I'm useless and they don't impact the car or me 😋 Priced at £7k no offers

  12. Good stuff but your a much braver than than me,good progress buddy.
  13. I'm not heading down now as not long home from my holiday in the North of Scotland and cannot face another 4 hr drive at 0400 tomorrow morning. Hope you all have a great weekend, I'm just going to play with my R32 instead :thumbleft:
  14. Agreed with the shows, I go to around 8-10 a year but this year my enthusiasm is dwindling as like you say, been there done that. I usually do 3 proper massive classic shows but only done 1 this year. Go to 2 VW weekends which are as much a gathering as a show which are cool. Been going to a few modern shows with the VR which have been good fun but again will I go to them next year ?? Really enjoy brekkie meets, last Sunday of the month for a few hours with all cars from Micras to Murcelagos, so much so that my local VW Dealer is hosting a brekkie meet for my FB group on the 18th Sept, with around 20 retro Vws going, food and tea/coffee and a technician and parts guy for any questions
  15. I'm enthusiastic enough but there's not cars in the region and the biggest problem is the region is just too large. For some shows in Scotland guys are driving 3 hrs and still entering the show around 0900, so 12 to 15 hr day. I do go to a monthly brekkie meet with 2 other VRS though which is cool.
  16. Hi Jim I totally agree with your comments and know how you feel when the interest in meets are so low, hence me leaving the mk1 owners club. Up here in Scotland there is around 6 Corrados that go to quite a few of the shows, our problem is even the central England shows are 4/5 hrs away. I go to the NEC most years and am going this year but I go with friends and my sons in a daily car as its so far. There are 3 Corrados incl myself heading to Harewood this weekend from central Scotland.
  17. If you put CCGB into google the first answer is The Cockapoo Club of Great Britain
  18. Oh and totally agree with meeting hood folk at shows as I do at all the ones that I attend. I still keep in touch with a lot of the mk1 guys that I met along the way and there is nothing better than looking in your mirror and seeing a convoy of the same VWs behind.
  19. I agree with the Facebook comments as people can be a right pain in the a*** on it and the real drawback of FB is that good quality info just disappears as its drops down, whereas on forums, the threads are kept for all to view and search for. The problem though is FB is quick, easy and really easy to upload pics so it's sadly the way forward, especially for the younger folk. As I said earlier, I don't even go on the CCGB site as when I went on before it was poor and quiet iirc.
  20. I only use this forum and not CCGB. I go to most shows in Scotland and I am heading down to Leeds this weekend but only head to 1 English show a year as they are too far. I used to organise the VW Golf mk1 owners club in Scotland but lots of effort for only a few cars, so I packed it in. Instead I have a Retro VW Scotland page on Facebook and I use that for going to shows and organising stands. It's way easier and how most people communicate nowadays rather than on forums.
  21. Your a brave man  I'm a huge lad but I realise who the boss is and she's only 5'
  22. I am going now, cutting the holiday short to my wife's annoyance and heading down with Kenny early on Saturday morning.
  23. A wee " It's for sale post " quickly deleted :thumbleft:
  24. Just a bit :bonk: Second thoughts as I always jump in so I'm trying not to this time :afro:
