Thats mad. Gonna have my car for a long while and im in the stage of ironing out problems at the minute and dont want to get anything done in the performance area yet since im only 19 and insurance would cripple me. Already spent a fair few £'s on her but i think its only the start. Just been reading through the post and i love how its your diary of owning the car. And sorry to hear about your long absence from it while getting engine done as i know it hurts. I think rebuild and turbo in not too distant future but on 130k so not urgent.

Yeah mine is getting a little scabby. I dont help it tbh with my foot welded to the floor. Cant help myself when it sounds so good. Got a militek cat back. One of the best sounding cars ever made. How much was your stealth rebuild if you dont mind me asking and what sort of results have you got?

My my.... we will have to meet some day. Itll be great to see some. Although mines currently out of action due to a bump in new mills which took out my sump and oil pump. And then on the 23rd itll be gone for 2 weeks getting resprayed and storm wheels getting refurbed.

Where abouts you based. I see some corrados knocking about but not seen a storm per say. Im in offerton area and run mine daily. Unless it was you when i shouted "corrado buddies" at someone rather predictably filling up in their rado

Amazing to see another storm... IN STOCKPORT?! Surely not? Got my vr6 in dragon pearl green getting full respray on 23rd.

Do you know if i need it. The washer thing came out but i dont think its the bush part as it costs £7 and for a plastic washer seems excessive. So would any plastic washer of the same size do? What did you do when you did yours?

Hi guys. Just got a new drive follower for my oil pump due to my old one snapping due to my oil pump siezing. Just been to tps and got a new one on order. Quick question of do i need to get the bush that goes on top. When i took the broken one out there was a washer that broke in half, is this the bush or is it something else all together. Any helps would be great thanks. For anyone that has the screen that you can check all the parts its part number 021 115 279 that is number 12, im wondering about the number 7 item. Thanks guys

Hit Sump, but now have oil pressure problem!
michaelbailey replied to michaelbailey's topic in Engine Bay
Hi guys after hours of removing stupid hex bolts with a stupid alan key because i couldnt find my kit which attachs to my socket set and then drilling one bolt out completely due to a thread that had no intentions of coming out i got the sump off and had a lovely sight of my oil pick all over the sump. Thankfully all else looks good and damage looks limited to the pick up and sump though a whole new oil pump is needed. No big deal. And VAG hag with regards to the oil pump what condition is it and how quickly can you get it to me living in manchester. Asap can not be stressed enough -
Hi guys, im a little distressed atm as I run my corrado daily and have come across a problem. Basically there was a lump of concrete in the road and being a lowered corrado I inevitable smashed my sump on it. I carried on for about 15 seconds before the oil light came on where it became apparent I was having a bad day. I instantly shut the car off within one flash of the light. I towed her home and plugged up the hole with a solid putty chemical metal I believe. Held the oil no leaks. start the car looking at the oil light doesn't go out after 5 seconds so I stop it. I check levels again start the car crossing fingers and same result. I have bought a new sump however this fix was to get me through the week, what would peoples thoughts be on the problem? My guess is the sump being pushed up is now blocking the oil intake but I don't know. any other ideas before I take the sump off and put new one on? thanks guys.

Yeah dont know why. Yeah the paints pretty poor so full respray required. Otherwise going great

Yeah its all back to standard now. And hasnt had too much from the guy who had it. I have started putting some miles on it though. Really lovely to drive, although its actually on lowered springs and got the militek exhaust on it. Ill have to take it down to you and get it detailed and paint protector on it when ive got the respray done!

Hopefully he hasnt given up on the thread yet
