Can anyone give me some advise on top mounts for ap coilovers, I have got some new lemforder top mounts for 1.8 16v when reading the instructions it says I don't need the the metal plate on the bottom of the mount but there's no way of taking it off so wondering if there ok to use. Any advise appreciated.

£50 + vat so not cheep but I needed it and couldn't find any other option and got feed up looking, have to sat they did a great job.

Had the same problem and if I remember correctly couldn't fine a replacement so took it to a company in Exeter called perpex (I think) who made me a new one.

Did you replace mounts oem, the more I read the more confused I get been looking at upgrading to vr mounts.

Got the wings off at the moment so spent the day cleaning the inner wings then picked up a tin of red oxide primer and sprayed now sat down and stated to think maybe should have thought about this a bit, going to wax oil over any advise appreciated.

I made my own never done it before nice and easy and quite therapeutic. I would say it's all about the quality of the flaring tool cheap probably makes it hard work, luckily I was able to borrow a Skyes pickavant from a mate of a mate.

Yes mate I started off with a seized rear caliper now I've got no suspension or front end on the car, my wife keeps asking if that car will ever come out of the garage.

Not sure on budget got the car in bits at the moment doing all brakes + loads of other stuff so it's spend spend spend, the only reason I ask about fk is there is a brand new set on eBay for £300.
