my driverside top door hinge pin has worn and allows some drop when opened, have any of you guys replaced them :?: are they a serviceable item any help apreciated, if i can i want to order them tomorrow. thanks.

check key and keyway on the crank pulley they can wear badly on g60 motors and cause engine timing problems. just a thought.

got the cams now just gathering everything together then i will take the car of the road in winter and do all jobs together.

from cold my 20l 16v turns over and over and eventually starts but then roughly ticks over at about 900 rpm :?: no choke :?: as soon as she is warm starts first flick of the key. :( any ideas :?

job done, took about 40 mins and genuine part was £22 inc vat. i cannot believe how it has changed the car.fantastic. it was a build up of crap and stale grease that was causing the problem.

i have obtained a good 1800 16v head today for the cams basically, but the head has been rebuilt not to long ago so is probably in better shape than my 2 litre. will it fit onto my 2.0 without probs and will i still achieve the better power delivery or should i just put cams in my head :?: :?: i paid £60 for the lot, i know a man who mehanics for a guy that races 16v golfs and he seems to think i shouldnt have any probs as he put a 2.0 head on a 1800 block but it was bored out over 2 litre. would aprecite your veiws on this as you guys use them everyday and not for racing.

i am interested in cat bypass and rest of system at the right money of course. somehow it looks like the thread is dead though its been ongoing for 6 weeks by the look of things :mad:

i know for a fact that the car has only done short journeys during the last year of its life as it was used as a runabout by the last owner, and it isnt using water.......answers that then :wink: havnt done fluid yet going to get goodridge hoses and do that at the same time. want to get hoses from the show at the weekend, what cam (part number ) do i need and how much should i expect to pay :?:

Already done the brakes brembo discs, pagid fast road pads that was my first call as all the golfs i have had the brakes and shocks have always been bolloxed. thinking that the cams and exhaust with a filter would be best, and probably do the head gasket at the same time(very slight hint of mayo). when was the cat required for mot :?: i know my 92 mk3 golf gti didnt need it so i used a bypass pipe.

hi guys, im new so hi to you all. 1993 2 litre 16v c, completely standard absolutly no mods done. what is the best way to spend around £500-600 on performance mods engine wise already bought suspension. i know its not a great deal to spend on engine mods but thats all i have at the mo. there must be "the usual" stuff to do. any advice apreciated.

hi guys and gals, i am new here although not new to vw's had loads of golfs and scirroco's over the years and fancied a corrado for something different. spent about three weeks lookig at them and travelling all over the place trying to find not a minter but a genuine car.anyway bought a 2litre 16valve 1993 2 owners in genuine condition still with the first aid kit in it. wasnt really worried about 150,000 miles with the full vag history and it drives well. the problem is that the throttle pedal is really stiff and i mean really stiff has anyone encountered this before :?: is it common or not any ideas before i buy a throttle cable and dont need to :wink: thanks for help in advance and hi to you all.
