hey, Haven't posted for a while! The corrado is now gone I was reminicing and found this thread :( Anyway I have since bought a Golf VR6 Highline but I am missing the Corrado, I will prob buy another soon as I have been a bit of a car slag recently!! haha!! G60pops- I had the tyres fitted at a garage near me, he said there wasn't really that many problems, he just took extra care with them! :)
-
Cheers Riley! I like the Borbets I was in the same position as you! :) Another pic, finally got round to fitting the Rieger grill oh and lowered it another 10mm all round, still no arch scrubbing, touchwood! Just needs a clean now
-
9x16 all round here as well, it hasn't rubbed once! I really think the 215/35's make a differance!
-
I reckon with the early VR's especially in blue had red VR6 badges, mine did, I went to the local dealers, wasn't that bad really, got a silver Corrado badge and VR6 rear badge for about £24, I got a silver grill badge off Ebay! 8)
-
Looks a good un! is it me or is that rear VR6 badge a bit wonky? Sorry..
-
Have Toyo's on my speedlines, they are decent but i don't think they last too long or maybe it was my heavy foot...
-
Thats what i was thinking Blue_Joe!
-
No the arches are standard at the moment, it doesn't catch at all, only on full lock, still debating whether to slam it though... :)
-
cheers Fast X, the wheels wern't that badly priced, I got the tyres seprate from http://www.mytyres.co.uk they were 85 squid a corner which I think was a bargain! The ride is alright actually it doesn't scrape at all, I would like to lower it more but it wouldn't be practical! I might do it just for inters though...
-
Cheers for the comments, I just need to stick a Rieger grill on there before Inters and I will be happy! FurkiG60- I was going to go 7.5 on the Front but I did it on my old Golf so fancied a change! Phil K - I bought a leather interior including door cards but the front 2 seats were not in the best condition so I got my cloth ones retrimmed and sold the dodgy leather ones, there is a slight colour mismatch but I reckon with time it will be ok!
-
well here are some more pics, they are not the best, dodgy sunlight and a cack camera, will try to get some better ones when the funds allow for a new camera! Schnellfahrer -- cheers, I have been watching them potholes! I have attached some pics of my motor when I first bought it- maybe an idea to move tis to the members gallery? Tell me what you guys reckon? I think it needs knocking down a touch on the front but think the splitter will catch even more + the arches are standard at the moment!
-
not sure about sticking 205's on there! the 215 stretch across enough as it is. i have a bit of room to play with anyway as I have the 215/35's. i had a set of 215/40's on my old Golf and that did catch a bit! the drive doesn't seem to be affected too much but it needs winding down a bit on the front, I will post more/better pictures after the bank holiday! : :D
-
Finally got them through and stuck them on yesterday, only a quick pick from my phone but better ones will be posted soon! I managed to change the order so they are 9x16 et 15 with 215/35/16 dunlops, it needs lowering now! what do you guys reckon?
-
Oh god thats not good! i had a set of these on my mk3 though they were fine, looks like its gonna have to be some 5mm spacers, not much I can do at the minute my mate has them on a pallet in Germany :?
-
hey guys, Well its show season coming soon so I have ordered some phat alloys, they are Brock B2's with the polished rim. The size is 9x16 all round with a 30mm Offset, they did a 15 mm offset but I think they would have stuck out too much, my only prob is my mate reckons the wheels will catch the calipers without spacers, is this true? Anyone put these wheels on there C before? cheers!
-
wheres the best place to buy them from? I was just on GSF's website but it was a bit confusing, I am not sure about Ampage on Euro Car Parts its says the VR is 63 Amps and is £70+VAT!
-
Well, mothers day yesterday so i decided to take the VR out for a spin :) It was the first time I'd driven it in 3 months so obviuosly the battery was flat, (didn't disconnect it , doh!) I took it for a really good drive but stalled it as I was pulling out on a dual carriageway  the car wouldn't start again!! Good job the girlfriend was out and about, anyway 20 mins later I she came with the jump leads and I was on my way again, got home and then tried to restart but have come to the conclusion that my battery is dead, which ones do you guys recommend? I was looking at the Bosch Silver batteries, any idea of prices, to make things worse my ABS light came on and when I got home I noticed my back tyre was flat! Oh and I remembered the VR had no tax!
-
Yep I'm interested in a Cat back for the VR, gotta get rid of my Jetex pee shooter!
-
Hey ROBCH, I saw your car the other day I recognised it by your signature, it looked a real minter lowered mk3 Highline, nice plate as well! I live in Blackburn by the way!
-
so is it best to take it to the redline in every gear baring in mind I have the schrick ?? Think I need more practice!
-
as the title says, went to GTI festival yesterday and know there measuring apparatus is very accurate. The best I could manage was 15.362 this is with a schrick VSR, unichip, induction and exhaust? Whats the best I can hope for with this setup? might have something to do with my shocking reaction times! .532

cheers for that, I have the VT engine mount in the garage its getting fitted this weekend, I have been driving Miss Daisy all week :( !! The foam is coming off!!
-
Not really a problem, had one fitted last week at stealth as part of the recent group buy, it has been slight catching on the bonnet even though it has been trimmed, but it has been booked into a bodyshop to be sorted, my question is, is it a big deal if i peel off the spongey stuff underneath the bonnet? The schrick has caused a bit of a mess of this, I take it this is here to prevent the bonnet getting too hot? 1993 Corrado VR6 Aqua Blue Pearl, Schrick VSR, Uni-Chip Remap, Oversized K+N Induction, Magnecor leads, VT front engine mount, Jetex Cat back Exhaust,Supersport Coilovers, Smoked M3 rear lights, clear side repeaters,Badges replaced all round!
