Hi all, Looking to replace the spark plugs on my '95 16v. Is there any difference between say, the £2.99 Bosch versions or the more expensive NGK or Denso variants? Thanks in advance.

I've got a 1995 2.0 16v that quite often starts and then immediately cuts out. Sometimes it requires 3 or 4 tries before it actually stays running, then runs just fine. This morning, when it was cold, it wouldn't start at all. Tried at lunchtime with the sun shining on it and boom, started first time. Could this be fuel pump related?

My Corrado has been neglected in its past life (I don't think the spoiler had ever been lifted when cleaned!) if it ever was cleaned... Anyhow, after a good wash the car looks great but it doesn't last. Can anyone suggest a decent cleaning product that might give my Sherry Pearl paintwork a new lease of life? Am I right in thinking AutoGlym are decent products for this? And, if so, which particular AutoGlym product? Thanks in advance.

The screws are absolutely knackered. Corroded, rusted and now the tips completely mashed and misshaped. I've had a go at drilling them out but doesn't seem to be doing anything, maybe my technique isn't quite right but I don't normally do this kinda stuff. Bit bloody stuck here.:bonk: All for a bloody fog lamp replacement.

Any ideas on removing stubborn, rusty screws? I've soaked them in WD40 and splashed some Coke over them... I've got one out but the other three arn't going anywhere. Does this black housing have to come out for me to fit the fog lamp? Is there another way? The replacement fog lamp I have is already in its black surround/housing so I'm gonna have to prize it out of there too...

Cheers all!

Sorry, yes, I want to refit a fog lamp into the bumper!

Hi guys, Can anyone offer some advice or point me to a tutorial (fingers crossed) for fitting a driver's side fog lamp? Not just the lense, but I have the black casing surround with the fog lamp reflector, lamp and lense intact. Thanks!

Heavy rainfall: soaking wet rear passenger footwell.

Also, does anyone know what this is? Looking directly up from the bottom of the front passenger footwell. -

I've attached a couple of pics here, not sure they're gonna be of any use. I have a plastic cover on the passenger's side but not the driver's. Should I have one there? I also noticed that the plastic 'lip' that sits under the wiper was loose and not completely on, on the passenger side, maybe this was letting rain in? Picked the car up and all appears fine, starting up first time instantly and running smooth. Very pleased! But not counting my chickens just yet...

On unlocking the car, if I try to start it after 30 seconds it won't, turning the key won't do anything — isn't this the immobiliser at work? Surely the immobiliser won't let me start the car Only for it to cut out a second later. 🤔

An update for anyone who's interested: Garage has suggested replacing the distributor cap and rotor as well as the fuel filter (which incidently I don't think has ever been changed). I've given the go-ahead so hopefully the problem stops here...

Thanks guys. Its a 1995 16v, its in the garage for a diagnostic check so will let you know what the outcome is.

Yes, I have a sunroof. Apologies for my lack of patience with searching the forum but thanks so much for the replies, I'll investigate... -
Any ideas?... Much appreciated.

Ok, its now doing it a little more often, problem clearly getting worse. The car took three goes before eventually starting, this morning. It turns, starts, cuts out... Hmmm

Hi Guys, When i turn my car on, before actually starting it, I get two lights on my dash. The first is the handbrake and the second is the battery/alternator icon. My car starts all the time, every time. Except, once driving around; if I pull in somewhere and turn the engine off and immediately start it again, it starts and immediately cuts out/stalls. Try a few seconds later and the same thing, starts and then cuts out/stalls. It's only when I leave it for a while and try again when it starts up as normal and away I go. Could anyone help as to what the culprit might be? Is it a dead-cert that with the alternator on this is what needs replacing? I've replaced the battery today for a brand new one and although my windows seem to wind faster and headlights brighter (or is is placebo?!) my cutting out/stalling issue persists. The car is also fitted with a Clifford Concept 300 which I find is a bit of a love/hate thing (i.e. I have to start the car after unlocking in under 30 seconds of it won't let me start). I was also wondering whether this issue could be part of the alarm system type thing? Like, If I got car-jacked the assailant wouldn't be able to drive off etc... Anyway, I'm clearly not the most knowledgable here so any constructive advice would be appreciated. Cheers all.

Thanks so much, appreciated!

Thanks for the reply VEEDUBBED, the reflector itself isn't exactly gleaming either — if I can't get hold of a lense then maybe a replacement fog lamp will have to be the way. Do let me know if you have a 2nd series driver's side lense or, failing that, a fog lamp to fit. Much appreciated.

Fog lamp lense only, driver's side for a '95 16v (do the driver's and passenger's side lenses differ?!) Can anyone help or has one for sale? Much appreciated if so!

Ahh, that might make sense. No idea what the Blackjax feature is but I'll look it up. The car has a Clifford Concept 300 alarm system I think.
