quickest way we test alternaters at work is to start the car, whack on a multimeter, should read around 14v+ then, turn on as many electrical items as possible to really get it working. then put the multimeter back on and it should be around the 13v+ mark. if its lower, you have a weak alternater

hey everybody!! a little help is needed please! a contact of mine has some suspension up for grabs, there fully adjustable avo coilovers, but! there for a VR6. :x alas, i only have a wee 2.0ltr 16v. my query is thus... will these VR6 coilovers fit on my 2.0ltr? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys & gals!

i paid £25 for one designed to fit into a mk2 golf, i've done a bit of cuttin & shuttin to fit it onto the center tunnel, it fits fine but the only thing you have to watch out for is clearence for the handbrake! (i didnt at first, D'OH!) but its all peachy now & its away being trimmed in fantastical leather.......hmmmm! as soon as its back i'll put up some pics!

anyway, if you have an mp3 head unit why are you going to use a multichanger? the whole idea of mp3 head units was to get a clearer sound quality & supress the need for a multichanger because you can get nearly as much music on 1 cd?! -

if the connectors are different there is no way at all of connecting them! what you are trying to do is to put an old changer with a newish head unit or vice versa, cant be done im afraid! btw, im an audio specialist at halfords, still liking that hole in your head?? :lol: -

howdy, my headlighs are up the preverbial creek!! so ive tried to take them out by undoing the 2 screws on the top, go to slide them out & they get stuck halfway!? am i missing something here?? any help would be fanmantastical!! thanks

no no no, im an audio for specialist for halfords, whats this i hear about 50quid for an ariel??! talk about doing it the hard way!! the same thing happened on my c. all i used is a new ariel amplifier/booster by autoleads (available from halfords about £8 ) plug it in, wire it up to your remote wire & bobs your uncle! my radio reception is now perfect & spot on!!
