    Hi Si Funny you ask I refitted today. Got the fitter in work to weld 10mm nuts on the rear of the clips like you suggested. Worked a treat m8. Far more solid a fit too as the 90 mm flexes more due to the drop For spacers i just cut some copper pipe the same size and jobs a goodun. Cheers for the help m8.     Check your earths are tidy also any relays that could be stuck open i.e fuel pump Also does your fam run on long after engine off. My fan used to run on too long and that drained my battery. Changed the sensor and now better. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

    Are you still getting 14v at the battery when running. I ask because i had a power surge hit my alternator and it blew a diode. Also how new is your battery that may have come to the end of its life ? Lastly is your charge light going out on your dash after starting. If its staying on there could be an issue with your charging circuit.

    Thanks Si that was a great help. Going to take my plate in to work on monday and see if our fitter can weld me some nuts on. That sounds like a much better option for strength. Begrudge spending 40 odd quid when my plate is sound apart from the holes. I would try bigger screws but i don't have a clue about how the width of the thread is measured ?

    I am going to sound like a complete doughnut but here goes. Took my splitter off a few weeks back to change back to a 90mm from a 50 I also took the support bar off to sand down and repaint, Buggered if I can remember how the support bar goes back on. Doing the job now so a quick answer would be apreesh. Thanks dazz

    If you do a search there are people who have managed to change it with the dash in place ! Mines blown but as I only use in the summer no need for heat so I bypassed it. When I sell the car I will give the new owner the new matrix LoL

    Yes M8 as i said it fits all models but they changed it after 92 with the same fittings but lowered to a 50mm. I have until recently had a 50mm on my 91 G60

    Fits all models Bud the 90mm was for pre 92 models but changed on the facelift prob due to damage being caused as it was too low

    Can I add another to the list. Sebring alloy wheel caps. Don't need to have Volkswagon printed on them just plain caps that finish the wheels. People after crazy money for them.
