Hi peeps, I bought a rotary polishing machine with 3M finishing polish off Flea Bay the other day and all I can say is WOW!! It was quite hard work ...as I ended up doing 2 cars after the Girlie noticed how good mine came out. I was a bit apprehensive about taking power tools to my paintwork but with a little care and a little tip of keeping the panel wet I think the results speak for themselves. The machine only cost me £50 delivered and came with all the heads and polishing fluid. Incidentally the car has done some 182k so its true folks "they sure don’t make em like they used too"! I know the pictures aint the best as i had to use a camera phone What do you guys think :?:

Wahooo....sorted..... I used a fine wheel on the Dremmel and touched all the threads back in.

Just purchased new platforms for one of my front Koni coilovers and cant get the blasted things fully on as some of the threads are damaged about 12 have been flattened near the top of the body/thread. Ive tried sourcing a suitable Die to run down the threads to re-profile and clean them up but as of yet no luck whatsoever! Anyone got any bright ideas only im a bit short on em for this snag :!: :(

Yeah elephant are hard to beat for most unmodded cars, they seem to specialize in unmodded cars i.e. less parameters to quantify thus making instant online cover possible and therefore cheaper.

Spose im in a prime position as ill run on LPG to get there negating the fuel injection completely, I'd have to take off the Shrek aswell so would take quite a bit of faf as usual! Cheers for the info Kev, didnt really wanna pay for getting them tested as I said they are gonna be replaced and as far as im aware they are near impossible to test accurately without a proper setup. Did get my mate to Ultrasonically bath them about a year ago (for free of course) but dont really want to pay £25 per nozzle to get em flow and spray checked when you could get a new set of reds for that. Hey peeps, can you put Bosch Red Top Injectors in a VR6 prior to supercharging? Eventually she will be blown but for the time being im getting the engine to run sweet 1st. Is there a danger of bore wash/overfuelling if I changed them as I suspect the others are a bit goosed?

Found out the hard way today that they have changed the supplier for fuel pumps. I dropped the tank and removed said pumpage and to my dismay realised that the one supplied is not the same as the original (peiburg I think) Not only that, the float is a different mounting and wiring slightly different on the new VDO units. The Steeler's couldnt apologise enough when I rang to get em some grief and apparantley theres a note on screen telling them to advise the customer of the change....needless to say i got naf all warning so though you peeps might appreciate it if your on the market for a new one! One VDO pump £119 One Fuel Tank float and asscociated wiring £45 Throwing your teddys out of the cot when you realise you have'nt got all the bits PRICELESS :mad: Sorry if this is a repeat story

Cheers Dinkus I think im gonna go down this route as I aint got the money for Brembos at the mo! Just being talking to swift autotune and they said that the S3 cast brakes are sh1te compared to the alloy Brembo 4 pots. I know there in it to win it quoted £895 for GT Brembos 328's.

Any you guys vouch for much improvement with the 312's? Paul good info mate, i was gonna make these at work using aircraft spec stuff but theyve just closed that shop down...pisser! PS get down the posties mate and price that shaft up!

How do you guys rate the 312's compared to standard especially interested in the SC boys findings like H8RRA, Kev, Chris and Tom?

Yes I totally understand that but she was clothed and no pink bits on display ie not offensive just not to his liking! I do respect all the work you guys put in but he was being over Zealous and that I cant appreciate.
